Hi /out/,
I was wondering what type of footwear you wear to your /out/ings. As in the brand of footwear and type. I am looking for a general everyday hiking shoe/boot and possibly for the occasional backpacking boot. Debating whether to get a cheap <$60 (US) pair of boots...
So.. what do you think of the following brands:
Hi TEC
Denali
High Sierra
Coleman

Oh, to answer your question, I've had vibram's hiking shoes for the past 9 years, should be available at your local Dick's outlet.

Oboz are good m8.
For the most part I like my moab ventilator shoes. But I've noticed that on a long walk they give me a thin little slit in my Achilles tendon, just below ankle level. It doesn't blister or impact a wide area. Just little horizontal cuts and localized bruising.
I wear sandals all year round whenever I walk/innawoods/hike/run. When it gets below 20F I will wear wool socks with them.
I have wide hobbit feet, nothing has enough space for my toes to move freely. Any type of raised heel gives me foot pain when walking miles at a time.

i've been wearing them for hiking plus work and a pair has lasted 3 years of 5 -7 days a week wearing- they kinda get cold in the winter doe. they are light and comfy and i'm surprised the mesh hast ripped at all yet.

Don't care post more pupper.
Brooks Cascadia 9 for 95% of /out/ings, bought a bunch of clearanced out ones since they're not very durable. Only use actual boots if I know I'll be walking through a lot of snow.
