will an underground bunker save you from a volcano explosion?
>>905219
depends
>>905220
Shure it would if you are thousand miles away.
>>905219
The magma would just coat the Earth above you. If it didn't melt through the hatch, the super heated air coming in through the intakes would bake you alive, to say nothing of the toxic fumes.

>every volcano eruption results in rivers of lava destroying everything
>>905219
I know it's a cliche to say something is retarded on this board, but jesus christ what a retarded question.

You might survive the initial blast but would be buried by either lava or pyroclastic flows resulting a horribly slow death by suffocation.

Will an underground bunker save you from a tsunami or an avalanche? Your best bet is to not be there if it erupts.
>>905231
>magma
>above ground
You're really talking out your ass, aren't you?

It depends how close you are. If you are in the path of the pyroclastic flow then your shelter would either cave in, fill with toxic gas, cook you alive, or a combination of the three. If you were far enough away that the flow doesn't hit you, then you don't need a shelter at all and maybe just a respirator for the ash.
Short answer no, but you should build one anyway OP so the mountain can claim your worthless life.

The right way to prep for this scenario is not to live next to a fucking active volcano. Plus if you have enough warning to get to your bunker, then you can get to a vehicle with your bug out bag and get the fuck out of the area.
The same goes for living in a flood plane, near likely targets for nuclear weapons, or on fault lines. The first step in prepping is good site selection.
Think how many people lost their homes in hurricanes and floods because when they were house-hunting they couldn't be bothered to check their address against a USGS map.
