I've got a pair of Salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX that I got about 2 years ago at a REI garage sale that I really like. Want to know what people who own the Danner Jag think about them. After what I have now wears out I'm thinking about getting the Jag.
>>904955
where the fyckk do i get the jag if i dont live in the US?

I have these Red Wings I bought a few months ago. I was being a retard and actually spent $200 on boots. I just loved the way they looked and felt on my feet. They were really nice but after using them every day they're starting to bust at a seam. Fucking disappointing for $200 boots. I still have the receipt, I'm going to take them back. My advice for Red Wings would be go with the cheaper options, because there's really no difference between them and the expensive ones. I guess Made in the USA doesn't mean squat in terms of quality anymore.

Isnt it only their heritage line that is made in US now?

Earthkeepers ma boi.
I've got these with a padded collar, not sure if they still do them. Waterproof up to the collar, good laces, great eyelets that can take a beating. Been wearing them every day for over a year now, been on a few /out/ings with them and they've served me just fine.
I'd say buy Danner boots if you have the funds.
Buy thorogood for the best bang for your buck.

Just about

can vouch for Danner. I rock the Vicious model, but they've got more /fa/ approved versions out there. They feel great and seem to be holding up after 4 months of everyday wear.

These look sturdy but are these not a fashion boot? Would you trust these a few months in the woods? It seems like most buyers are hipster girls so I'm conflicted.
>>904972
Idk, try and get someone in the U.S. to buy them and ship them to you.
>>905129
Despite the current audience, Timberland still makes decent boots for hiking. Managed to find a more accurate picture for the ones I own. I know I'd trust mine in the woods. I'm a Brit and they're fine for the wet woodland climate most hikers travel in around here, and they're warm enough too.
>mfw I like my Vasque better than my Merrells
>>905264
agreed
just bought these for my winter excursions
could have spent twenty bucks more on merrell's but merrell's are to hikers as tim's are to hood niggers
just buy the boots that meet your needs for the best price u consumer scum
>>905129
Even the pro line is trash now. Had several pairs die within a few months in a warehouse. Would never trust em outside. If you can swallow the price get a pair of danners, those shitters hold up.
>>907373
Cont. for clarifcation: Havent had those specific boots, referring to other timberlands boots from both normal and pro lines
space boots
Which brand uses a large N as their logo? I bought a pair at cabelas several years ago and I'm astounded at how they've held up over the miles. I've abused them to fuck and back and still are mostly water resistant. Most comfy boots I've ever owned
>>904950
I'd fuck her
Bean boots
Also red wing.

Breaking in a pair of Danners right now.
I haven't put them through anything serious yet, but I like them from the walking around I've done in them so far.
Anyone know a grey 3 season hiking boot for around 150 to 200 bucks that will last 3+ years
I'm rather fond of the color grey.
>>905023
I own these too, pretty fucking great boots. They have lasted me as well. Pretty stylish. You can wear pants with them without looking like /k/ommando. Only thing they are slippery as shit when it's wet
>>907578
>Only thing they are slippery as shit when it's wet
Fuck. May as well not bother with them, then.
I know they're not the most fashionable boots (i.e the cinching system without laces) but Keens have worked very well for me in the past and are comfortable & durable
Also Rocky makes killer waterproof and insulated boots for colder weather...
polished leather is definitely a plus for /fa/
