It's finally December, so as agreed back in October, the Secret Santa thread is back.
In the past /out/ has used the Amazon wishlist option, where folks randomly post their Amazon wishlist links and hope that someone buys something on their list for them.
In this format, each person fills out the google form provided as a link in the pastebin below. You pick a price bracket between $10-50 and write in your own wishlist, things you'd want to receive. Then, in a few weeks you'll get matched with someone from the same price bracket as yourself.
After you get paired, you will receive an email with your target's wishlist and mailing information. (We've never had an issue with someone abusing their targets information in the 5 years that /k/ has been doing Secret Santa this way)
>note, you won't be getting a gift from the same person you're giving a gift too
Matchings are a "round robin format"
A gives a gift to B, B gives a gift to C, C gives a gift to D, D gives a gift to A, etc.
This is the format that /a/, /cgl/, /k/, and several other boards have used successfully for years. I personally have assisted with /k/'s Secret Santa for the last 3 years and have found this format to be the best way to ensure everyone gets a match.
http://pastebin.com/XmsSN6jU
There are additional details on the form itself, google forms can't be posted on 4chan as they trigger the spam filter, so copy and past the google link that is inside the pastebin link above. Additional instructions can be found on the google form.
If you have any questions feel free to ask them here or email me

It seems like the general consensus is that we'll be doing an amazon wishlist mega thread in addition to this.
>>904024
But this makes sure that everyone that posts an Amazon link will actually get something, not like in the past year when a bunch of people that posted early on got a bunch of stuff and those that joined later got nothing...
>>904038
That whole Amazon wishlist idea how they were doin it is retarded. I could post like 10 wishlists throughout the thread and get a bunch of stuff without buying a single thing for anybody else.
Pluis secret santa gifts should be a suprise.
Yeah, the wishlist thing is a really dumb idea imo. I'll be joining in this one.
mods pls sticky
>>904041
you know, I haven't thought of that.....
>brb, gonan raid all the other Amazon wishlist threads
>>904024
That's probably the best way to do it, give folks the option and let them choose. I'll monitor this thread and let whomever wishes handle the Amazon thread.
I forgot to mention everyone participating in this format will get a free Christmas card and /out/ sticker.
Honestly though, couldn't we just post the amazon wishlist on a form? Then receive the pairing + the wishlist.
>>904098
This is why and how OP has ruined Christmas. We need to setup an entire beaurocracy and government oversight committee to organize it, regulate it, and make sure all the dindus don't get nuffin
I hope a lot of people join this.

I filled out my deetails on the survey linked to the previous thread; is that one dead? Do I need to resubmit my details?
This is neat
is the /k/ secret Santa separate?
Can I butt in with an alternative?
I do crafts and woodcarving and it'd be super cool to swap handcrafts with other anons who make stuff. This would mean trusting each other with our addresses, of course, but I've done that many times before.
Alternatively (actually I'd prefer this), I'll send a personalized, handmade /out/-themed gift to anyone who donates $10 to either of these charities:
http://darsihmad.org/en/
http://www.hsam.org.uk/
Just email me a screencap of the receipt page once you've donated (black out all personal info, doofus)
If you donate more than $10 I'll soup up your gift proportionally!
whoever bought me wool mitts last year, thank you.
I really appreciate them.
I will give something to someone a bit closer to Christmas
>>904352
You too could be the lucky owner of a spoon like these
>>904353
Here are mittens.
They are very comfy
>>904360
Forgot pic again, here they are
>>904361
OT but what organ is that brĂ¼? A Wurly? Lowery? Gullbransen?
>>904367
I want to know how he plays while wearing the mittens.
>>904378
>Kimball
Fuck it's the only brand I forgot! (already knew it wasn't a Hammond based on the tabs). Nice, not many people keep those big home organs around these days. Hope you or someone enjoys it. I think they're wicked cool.
>>904381
Yeah, it's definitely cool. My niece enjoys playing around in it.
I'm gonna have to sell it soon though, I dont feel like moving it across the country.
I think we gotta do it this way, it's much more organized and better.
Do you still have all the posts?
if there is anyone looking for handmade/personalized stuff...what kind of things would you be interested in?
>>904738
I would like that! Especially if it is something nice.
I signed up yesterday and haven't received any confirmation or anything, when should we expect to be paired by?
>>904789
You must have forgotten to include your credit card details.
>>904789
Why don't you email OP
>>904738
Set of Coasters
I would like to give a few MGTOW related care packages but do not want to receive anything.
How would I go about this?
>>904845
fill out the form? there's a part that asks if you'd like to be on standby in case anyone gets stiffed... also MGTOW is something you can put down in the interests to be paired with other people that would like that kind of stuff...
tl;dr fill out the form and say you don't necessarily want to receive anything
>>904845
>I would like to give a few MGTOW related care packages
Tissues and lotion?
>>904352
I would also really enjoy this. However I am afraid I have my hands full this year, next year I will start earlier so I can get my shit done on time. I'd also want more practice if I was going to be swapping with someone whose a master at their craft
Pic related a scarf I fucked up on. I missed a few threads on the left side, and I'm not happy with the ends of it.
>>904923
pls ease up on the MGTOW shaming
>>904900
[email protected] is my throwaway. Anyone interested in swapping handcrafts, or recieving something in exchange for donating to the above mentioned websites, shoot me an email.
>>904929
Shit, what kind of loom do you use? I want to make stuff like that.
>>904976
Rigid heddle loom. If you aren't into sewing or knitting, the majority of what you will be making will be scarfs.
>>904973
pls ease up on shitting up /out/ with LETS MAKE A COMMUNE FOR OUR WHINER SUPPORT GROUP threads.
>>905299
There has not been one of those threads for months.
Are you secretly trying to get one going?
Did you send the confirmation e-mails, OP? Because I did not receive one and I fear I might have fucked up my e-mail
>>905470
I just sent out the confirmation emails.
>>905738

>>904889
Didn't know the thread existed until after i checked my email. They've got another thread up for the wishlist thing, we've got our thing over here, and I'm also digging >>904352 's idea. I say keep em separated and if anons want to participate in more than one that's up to them.
Bumpin
I'm already doing the /k/ one and I also signed up for this but if there aren't a lot of people for /out/ I may bail on this secret Santa
Is the Britbong presence great enough /post cost not to extortionate for Anglofags to join?
>>904352
That's really cool. I make shit on my lathe... Not very out... But I have some cool wands and ornaments and pens and stuff
Anyone wanna do a swap-a-roo or make a deal for a field recording kit? Was gonna list it on eBay but thought I'd check with muh /out/bros first.
>>907156
We have one Britbong signed up at the moment (you?) Hopefully we'll get a couple more on board.
Alright registered. We will get an email with our secret Santa's gifts and address Correct? just reassuring with my autism
>>904352
