Sure, but we have plenty of national historical parks, monuments, a national seashore and a few national rec areas. As well as many state forests as the other anon said. NJ is more /out/ than you would think, especially because it has a little bit of everything for everybody.
NJ's best kept secret though is for water. If you grew up here out of the city you know there are rivers everywhere, including the Delaware, and of course the ocean/shore
