pretty sure anyone with knowledge above literally just beggining knows what a drop shot is dude.

Drop shot and Carolina rigs are all I ever use. I use drop shot when trolling/drift fishing in boats and Carolina when we anchor down or shore fishing.

Are we thinking about the same Carolina rigs?

Which reminds me, I really should start using Carolina rigs more. I have some lakes where the bigger bass like to sit out nice and deep so I have to load up the memecaster with 1/2oz+ to get to them and it ends up pulling the bait down into the mud so fast. I think a Carolina rig would def give the bait better action and help keep it suspended a few inches from the bottom.

yes. carolina rigs and drop shot rigs are fished differently. OPs rig is fished crawling and rolling the bottom just like a carolina rig. additionally because the leader is so long the bait hugs closer to the bottom like in a carolina rig.

Do you just let the rig sit or do you reel in to get the lure to get action?
