Anyone into this lately?
I am thinking on starting a project o build my own caravan, i was into buying an old one and restoring it, but at the cost they sell the old ones i can make one from scratch much much cheaper.

I bought a used popup camper for $2,200. Cleaned it up and replaced the mattress. Have only taken it out once since I got it. I'm thinking of spending up to $10K on a 15-20 foot camper to keep permanently at a campground where I keep my boat during the 3 seasons. There's people that actually live in campers there year around. Costs $20/week + electric

yes thats the luxury option, my way or either refurbishing or now.. building one from scratch is more of the cheap option

You can build your pic related for less than $2,200? My pop up is smaller than that.

Virginia. Its not really a stereotypical family KOA campground. Just a bait store with a boat ramp and boat slips that has some land with camper hook ups. They do have bath and showers but they haven't been renovated in like 20 years.
there are some cheap ones but the work needed on them would be same us making one from scratch,
anyone got experience in building one ?
