Hello fellow flyfishermen,
I am looking for a 9 or 10 wt flyrod and reel which i can use in fresh- and saltwater. I will be targeting various species on australian coastal flats and salmon, Bull/laketrout and pike in canada. Do you have any recommendation?
Also which flyfishing gear are you using? At the moment i am fishing a Redington Classic Trout rod with a redington surge reel.

something like sage salt should be good.
dunno though if it's good for freshwater, but i guess you should do fine with it.
>>
Fly fishing is literal autism. People spend hundreds on gear to catch little trout that a 10 dollar kids rod can catch.

Still somewhat new to the scene, but I finally had money to buy some waders. So unfortunately I can't recomend much. I use a 5 weight reddington path reel rod combo. Got it on sale and it works great, though, I do wish I had a different reel. Maybe it's just my lack of experience though.
Those you in the pics?

You're a cute looking guy OP ;)
Where abouts are you based? And shit is unfortunately expensive. At least the initial investment is. I just recently started 2-3 years ago, and it's slowly becoming my main hobby. Next step is to start tying my own flies

one could say i am a traveller, next year i'll be living in australia + canada, right now im based in germany. yeah tying is great, it needs a lot of practice but once you figure it out it's pretty satisfying

Useful for trout in pocket water. The long rod will let you get a drag free drift over multiple current seams. Also good for panfish.
