Worth carrying instead of just cooking on coals?

Complete meme garbage. Just make sure the wood is on flat ground. Jesus.
white people will buy anything
>$60
>2.5 lbs
>solution to a problem that doesn't exist
>/in/ gearfags will think they're awesome for having one that's never been warmer than room temperature
what do you think?
>paying for a piece of wood with metal on top of it.
Do you.
>>894520
I think you just pay for the metal and are meant to collect the wood.
>>894522
you don't collect it.
>haul a maul and splitting wedges into the woods
>find a dry, unrotten fallen log or standing deadwood
>spend hours cutting that shit down and cutting out a section.
>split the wood
Oh goody, we get to have a fire with some meme shit ontop of it.
>>894480
Seems extra weight for very little reason.
>>894480
Looks like a complete waste of money.
>>894480
Millenial hipster garbage meme
>>894522
Even better. Youre paying for a piece of fucking metal.
Im not even knocking who ever made it. Im just going to hate watch a youtube review.
I can't imagine a scenario in which I would use this instead of making a normal campfire like we've been doing for 200,000 years.

>you go out
>with your frost river pack
>with your hultafors axe
>and your custom made scandi knife
>obviously you are wearing some fjallraven pants
>and a carhartt jacket
>after a 10 mins hike you arrive to your campsite
>there is already some cut firewood
>you only need to use your axe to split it
>but first, take you EOS canon and take 5 pictures of your equipment
>now you can split your wood
>take some more pictures of the axe and the wood
>install your brand new stovetop
>now procede to light your swedish log
>take more pictures
It looks cool. But you reallly don't even need it to achieve what it does.
>>894664
>Hultafors
>Not Best Made
Lol pleb
Can those people who buy this kind of thing chop a log into four?
>>894664
>hultafors
>not granfors bruks
PLEB ALERT PLEB ALERT
>>894480
The pan itself is heavier than a compete food preparation kit. Does that answer your question?
>>894522
The shit would only work with just about perfectly seasoned hickory or oak. All evergreens would burn too hot, green wood wouldn't burn in that configuration at all. So you'd either need to bring the wood or get extremely fucking lucky and have a chainsaw and maul with you.
>>894808
Best Made axes are just further finished Council Tool axes.
>>894873
GB axes are absolutely not top tier. Don't listen to everything uncle ray tells you
>>894898
I agree. I think that the aparatus on the op was designed for hipster/tumblr patio bbqs/car camping arrangements. It would look cool and would work as a conversation starter, but I can't think of someone, even with minimal experience in camps, bringing one with them.
>>894534
Underrated post
>>894480
Shitty garbage, very limited to a certain diameter and length of log.
>>894987
wat? you retarded or something?
i don't say it's worth buying but you can obviously use it on any log you can cook on.
>>894480
Do you feel like felling a tree to cook some shit?
>>896591
>you can use it on any log you can cook on
Literally not true
>"To use it, split a log into four pieces (max 14 inches tall)"
>>894534
I mean it's stupid as shit but who doesn't carry at least one good saw while /out/? Combined with and axe you can have a fire that burns for much longer and can be collected faster then if you just made a stick fire.
>>894664
>Swedish log
Got me.
>>896638
meh, what you think if you cut it shorter or longer it will not work?
or you think you can't use thicker logs and secure the contraption with nails? or bury the lower end of logs and not even secure it?
the varieties of ways this could be used are huge and so are the trunk dimensions.
>>894534
hours to cut a tree?
you're doing something wrong
>>894873
Jokes on you shortdick, GB is intro level.
Neeman makes the only acceptable wood processing tools for a modern man.
>>897442
Neeman, you mean the axe that when Wranglecuck used for one day, the head loosened up?Yeah, solid tools.
