Hey folks,
I do a fair amount of fishing when /out/ and I'd like to find a nice backpacking sized/weigh grill I can use to cook them up. Anyone own a grill similar to pic related? Would love to get my hands in a quality one, titanium if possible.

nigre just run to wal•mart or home depot and get yourself a $5-$10 replacement grill and you're good to go. they have all shapes and sizes and they're lighter'n bunny dicks so no need to spend $47 on a titanium ultrafaggot version

Except that I also do a lot of backpacking, so saving on weight is a huge plus. Make me mighty happy if I could hike in a frozen steak on day 1 and have it for dinner after smoking it on a hot bed of coals.
Since you are a nu male fag, just use aluminum foil or is that too heavy for your steak fish?

It's your call, but if you get one like >>891081 posted we're talking a few ounces of weight reduction for that extra $30. There may be other benefits to titanium though. I wouldn't know my grill is one of those small circular ones I pulled out of a discarded mini-smoker which reminds me, get a circular one because they're much easier to balance on a small fire-pit

Also I'll add that if you plan on cooking meat on a grill over coals you're going to need a separate fire to produce new hot coals and small bits of preferably hardwood to scatter over the coals to produce the smoke. Wrapping the meat up in tinfoil and cooking it directly on the coals is a much easier option, plus the semi-sealed nature of the tinfoil packet gives you myriad flavoring possibilities if you get a little creative.
*note none of this is actually necessary, you can chuck that steak on the grill over an open fire and it will still taste great after a long day out. I just thought i'd share my recommendation for best results. Good food is important for hour-to-hour morale.
