I need insulating layers and general use pants for hunting and other things this fall/winter.
I'd like to find this stuff as cheap as possible as I'm losing weight and won't fit into this stuff next season.
I'll be doing a lot of hiking but also a lot of sitting in 20-30f temps.
For base layers I'm just going to find some cheap merino.
For pants I was thinking midweight nylon ones.
I don't know what type of insulating pant I'd need or how to layer pants.
A decent jacket with some insulation and material that won't rip easily because of branches and stuff would be great too.
Any recommendations for specific items, advice on layering, or just general advice would be much appreciated.

Cotton will kill you if it gets wet, don't use it.

Garcinia Cambogia.
3 months, changed my intake.
34" waist to 32".
Now it's just discipline.
OP GO! Right now, I'm loving Mossy Oak High Country pattern.

Fleece (don't listen to the wool shills, there's nothing wrong with it)
>I don't know what type of insulating pant I'd need
Fleece. Winter running/cycling gear is good for layering because it's stretchy and close fitting.

Put on insulating layer, put on outer layer

Base layer, mid-layer, outer layer.
Yes?
Base layer == silk, wool or poly
Mid layer == style, fashion or dress code
Outer layer == water repellent and/or heavy insulator.
I like my outer with full side zips for add/shead w/o taking off foot wear.
Do not underestimate that protip.

Yeah, staying the hell away from it. Used it for years and I'm now coming to the realization that it's fucking awful for my purposes.

It isn't a dream though bud.

Exactly.

Any fleece pants you'd recommend? I already have a fleece top. What's an outer layer? Nylon?

>zips
My old coveralls have zips on them, makes everything so much easier.
Anything you'd recommend?
