I thought it was moonstone, so I drug a hardened steel screw driver across the surface, as you can see in the photo the metal just kind've edged itself into the stone, I don't think it's quartz. Does anyone have a clue?

They're like mushrooms. Only way to really know is to take a bite.

Gembro here, tastes like gems.

Cool. Now give it an hour. If you aren't dead, it's safe to eat the rest of it.

That's a amber moon gem, if you eat it, it gives you powers. Try it out.

Looks like quartz anon, why do you think it isnt?
Rose quartz.
Where did you find it op? In water? At the bottom of a hill? Buried in dirt digging a fire pit? What region are you in?

If you know what hardness your screw driver is, we can eliminate some possibilities.

I'm gonna second this.
>>880624
Looks like iron-stained quartz
>>880624
Will a knife scratch it?
Hiya gembro here, the screw driver is a carbon steel, and knives don't scratch it. Found it digging a 4 foot hole in my back yard
It's slightly hematitic quartz, most likely
Protip: It's not a gem, it's a mineral
There's a difference

>drug
That's not how you use that word.
I'm going with citrine since I have some that looks a tad the same

Realy old chewed gum. Probably juicy fruit by the color
Looks like quartz to me.
