Would love to see what gear anyone carries, what they would recommend, what future purchases you might get soon.
Bonus points for pics.

Just finished packing all this for a 2 week hike. Did takes do much more food than I thought
>>869058
Meant to say food takes more room than I thought. Don't know why it said that.
My current fav pack.
>>869058
That retarded as fuck knife. Serrations and a Tanto point, fucking kek.
>>869073
It was pretty cheap. Every sharp piece of metal is going to perform it's function just the same, doesn't matter what it looks like.
I could take a picture but I am to lazy too...
>Canvas tent no need for the pegs or poles as I just use rope.
>-20C sleeping bag.
>First-Aid Kit
>Esee 3 + KaBar Bk7 (I use it as a machete dense bush here sometimes)
>Tinder/Fire Kit.
>Gransfor Bruks Small Forest Axe
>Phone Charger + Solar Panel because why not.
>Sometimes a Tarp 10x10'
>FlashLight
>Spoon Carving Knife
>Small, Large, frying pan lid set up (all fits together)
>Rope + thread + Needle
>Bear Bell + Bear Spray
>Sometimes a fishing kit and rod if I am fishing.
>WaterBottle (metal)
>Plant Book (Edible and Medical Plants of Canada)
>Food to the time/travel etc normally I figure I will eat right around 3k calories a day which is grossly insane amount and I never do. Normally I pack enough food for another week.
>Repair kit ie bees wax and oil/sharpening stone for my tools + needle
Suggestions if I may ask also ask away on gear and I will try to answer them.

How do you carry the Walther when /out/? My current holster just gets in the way of my pack's hip belt
>>869074
....you're Def retarded.
>>869074
Yes and no. Some will be better at certain things and will last longer on certain things and get damaged against certain things. All depends on the metal and grind and design. For the most part the general knife will do the job.
>>869097
Thanks, sergeant superiority. I Can Capitalize improper Words too.

I had the same issue when I finally tested it today so I went out and bought a cheap bersa thunder and a universal pocket holster that fits pretty nicely in my cargo pocket. Took the pic before I tested. If I was going somewhere where I was more couscous of wildlife than mugging I would use a thigh holster on something in a bigger caliber, but I'm just carrying because the trail is known for thieves.
I'm replacing everything I have with ultralight variants for my thru hike next year. So far I just have a long titanium spoon. It's a nice spoon. Not too excited about the total cost i'm looking at though.
Just discovered Toaks; really decent priced titanium cookware I'm planning to purchase so I can retire our my stainless steel mess set and loose a few ounces on my pack.

if I may give you some advice, try out a external frame pack and see how it feels on you. With my internal frame I can't pack more then 40lbs without feeling it after 2-3 hours but with my external frame I can pack 40+ easily for 6+ hours without any issues. Just trying to help you before you spend alot on stuff that you may not need.

Cal Ranch Store.
~$40USD.
>>870262
The waist belt and adjustability are great!
I'll post a pic of the tag later.
>>870263
I had been wanting to customize an old A.L.I.C.E. frame, with better straps, radio shelf and belt, the cost was getting up there.
The is FAR superior!
>>870300
And about ferty bux.
>>870210
I love it. It's a bit heavy if you're an ultralighter, which I'm not. Gotta make sure to try it on, though. It fits me snugly, like an extension of my body. I hiked Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore with it in April a few years back -- tons of fallen trees on the trail which we had to scramble over, under, and around. Never felt off balance, even when loaded down with 40lbs of gear.

No /gear/ or /stupid question/ generals, yall seem like a smart bunch that can help w/out me having to make a special snoflake thread
>>870323
I don't like tripod stools, no back support.
That said, of the two the F&S has the lower shelf for rocks so it won't blow over when no one is sitting in it.
What ever.
>>870317
>Spidermanbag
What is in this? Would you recommend this as a cool and functional backpack?
>>870327
No.
(Son's)
>>869057
Consider washing your bagpack. Its nasty.
>>869058
You will break your back hauling all that stuff.
>>869074
Knifes not optimal, but will do. I would replace it with a SAK, something light and small.
>>869114
Nice gear. Nice GPS. Shitty Lifestraw, get a Sawyer.
>>870317
Have a Cumulus bivvy myself, its awesome. You will never use the kindle. They make a larger fold-a-cup (600ml), fits perfectly on my 750ml titanium pot which looks like the toacs 750.
>>870263
what pack do you plan to use this in conjunction with?
is this usable with the conventional ALICE med/large packs? are there any better options than ALICE packs for the price?
>>870865
Generally dry bags. Med/LG A.L.I.C.E. bag would work.
