Last time we tried to organise a brit camp it was too late in the summer, so this thread is for planning and seeing interest on a camp next august open for any sc/out/s in the UK or oversees who wants a meet up.
>When?
I would suggest any weekend in august.
>Where?
I think we was planning on Snowdonia last time but nothing was settled. If anyone owns land and would let us use it that would be perfect to save on costs for everyone.
>What will we be doing?
I suggest hiking and drinking in the evening.
Any interest?
punam co. ill bub. plenty of acreageout here
I would be up for it, as long as you weren't planning on doing too many miles each day. I've done Dartmoor, that was a good one. Been planning a short trip to the Forest of Dean with a couple of mates as that looks good as well. Where about in the country are you? Pic is camp at Dartmoor

Looks comfy anon, how did the tarp on the left fare ?
>>866005
That was mine. Had a good night's sleep, just made sure what direction the wind was coming from and adjusted accordingly. Pic of another day at Dartmoor
>>866064
looks like fun, keep posting mate. do you usually set up with a tarp?
>>865976
We woukd arrive, set up camp and then do a walk and back to the camp site for socalising and drinking unless anyone has any better ideas. Hopefully we can get a campsite that has a fire pit to use.
Didn't we settle on Snowdonia last time round? It's the perfect place for /out/.
>actually meeting up with 4chan sociopaths

i'm not a sociopath anon

>Not camping in fall/winter
Soft cunt
>>866137
Yeah I prefer a tarp, tried using a hammock as well but didn't like it. Pic is of just a day hike
>>865584
> planning a year ahead
> still won't happen
Just fucking go, Brit wierdo!
t. Amerigun camps w/o any advance planning.
>>866248
We did but we never settled on any specific location, also transport was a bit of an issue.
Can someone identify the tent? Looks cool
>>866644
>zed's posts save lives
goddamn I miss my Zeddo. the /out/ shitposters and trolls of 2016 pale so poorly in comparison.
>>866644
> transport issues on a tiny island
OK, Gilligan.
>>867120
Spotted the amerigun with free/cheap car parking everywhere he can go /out/, plus cheap fuel to boot.
Public transport to /out/ places in Britain is non-existent/fuck-off-expensive, especially somewhere like Snowdonia or Dartmoor where typically you either live there, or go on a school trip.
>>867242
>car parking everywhere he can go out
Wouldn't the outdoors be the easier place to find parking?
>flat
>no trees
>close enough to servicable road
>???????
>parking space
Like, the lower the population density, the less you should have to worry about parking.
>>867245
>Britain
>low population density
wew laddie.
You know that you can't just turn off the road in Dartmoor and park, right?

Picture was from around 2009 so it'll be discontinued by now. Most likely brands would be Vango, Outwell or Eurohike

This is relevant to my interests. I've been into fishing, hiking, forestry and /out in general since I was a kid and being trained as a light infantry officer made it worse. Had not real /outings since I moved to the uk. Pic related, bought a scout knife to replace the one I lost.

noice noife
>>867802
It's the best knife I've ever used. A bit pricey at around 80£ but worth every penny.
Anyone got an irc or anything like that we could take this chat to? To try and make it actually happen
>>868053
Irc?
>>868071
Do you not know what IRC is? Holy fucking newfags, Batman, this is sad.
>>868071
Google is your friend m8
>>866644
what's the difficulty with transport? First you take the bus for 35pounds from london and then you take their bus sherpa service from 1 pound
>>868093
He's probably not a 16 yo numale pipsqueak like you.
>>865584
Id be up for this, i have literally no friends and am an emotional wreck but really loved camping before i become a retard.
Brits only or are Irish welcome?
>>867279
Damn ever single time I see that knife I want it, I'm going to have to get one someday. Just can't justify it having just saved up for a Tommi Puukko.
>>868832
No potatoniggers allowed REEEEE
Yeah nah you're still part of the british isles, hop over if yous want.
>>868847
It's quite heavy on the blade but just feels like it fucking HAS to be used.
Also, minimalist 4seasons tool as fuck.
>>868832
All sc/out/s are welcome.
Why does it matter if it's warm or cold?
>>870965
Because if it's cold, you'll die.
>>871149
Uh huh. Obviously you've never experienced the joy of winter camping.
>>871169
I'm from Finland. I spent my kid years running outdoors, going fishing with grandparents all year round. That also cover winter.
Also, the military service was mostly living outdoors for the whole year.
