I would be up for it, as long as you weren't planning on doing too many miles each day. I've done Dartmoor, that was a good one. Been planning a short trip to the Forest of Dean with a couple of mates as that looks good as well. Where about in the country are you? Pic is camp at Dartmoor

We woukd arrive, set up camp and then do a walk and back to the camp site for socalising and drinking unless anyone has any better ideas. Hopefully we can get a campsite that has a fire pit to use.

This is relevant to my interests. I've been into fishing, hiking, forestry and /out in general since I was a kid and being trained as a light infantry officer made it worse. Had not real /outings since I moved to the uk. Pic related, bought a scout knife to replace the one I lost.

I'm from Finland. I spent my kid years running outdoors, going fishing with grandparents all year round. That also cover winter.

Also, the military service was mostly living outdoors for the whole year.
