Also wtf are these. Some kind of nut? Bout to crack one open. Cpuldnt find the plant bearing them. Smells like a spice or a crafts store lol.

Op here. The tree and fruit are american persimmon. The weird nuts are mockernut hickory. Old man wisdom from my neighbor lead to the identification. Thanks yall.
