To confirm further try running the edge across a file. The knives steel should be too hard a for any material to be removed and it should skate over the file like glass.

Also try emailing Kershaw with the model number and serial number to confirm it's not a fake.

you are both wrong - it is fake.

1st - 0566 runs on washers, not bearings, and it is assisted opening - OP's picture does not have a torsion bar (but does have a skeletonized handle which the original does not have, because that's where the rostion bar is supposed to be).

Also - the lock surface on the blade is wrong.
Plus - 566BW is the designation for a BlackWashed model, this one is not.

It's definitely fake. 0369 is the serial # used on the chink copies of this knife. you can check aliexpress and confirm this.
