Living in a loli flat country means there's supposedly no mountain biking to speak of, but sometimes off road is fun, just to enjoy the little cottages and wide open fields.
Honestly I bike so much that leaving the house by foot just feels unnatural and eerily slow, so yes, it's the bee's tits, knees, thorax and every other insectoid body part.

This is what I've drawn so far on my phone based off one if the creeks I hiked passed. Still needs colored to really make it recognisable though.

Pissed rain just as I finished making camp. Siberian style log fire worked pretty well and I was dry and warm in my new to me surplus shelter half/poncho.

It kept drizzling through the next day and the poncho did a good job keeping me dryish despite having been taking the rain the night before.

17 miles back was not nearly as fun as the hike there

I don't like taking pictures while /out/ and I should specify there should be a lot more smoke coming from the fire and to my face but I'm not sure how I'd draw that once it gets going it clears up though you definitely need a saw for that unless you want to be there for a long time chopping with even a felling axe.

The poncho was treated with linseed oil and beeswax and that made it really water resistant but kind of heavy. I really wouldn't reccomend my set up for any through hiking, I knew it was going to rain so I maximized comfort over practicality regarding weight and space with things like a ceramic cup, a heavy shelter and a dedicated lantern. Also I'm poor so most of my stuff is surplus and therefore heavy.

what problems do you have with your eyes? pretty much all lens/focus issues are corrected by spectacles, so you should be fine.

Glaucoma with a family history of chronic cataracts after early 60s. I really should enjoy things while I still can but money is always tight and I can't justify flying to the Southwest or Alaska to look at stars.
