I'm a mycologist professionally and that is edible but you'll want to tenderize it 1st. similar to tenderizing beef or chicken but not quite as hard. Just lighty tap it.

Originally we considered the ball-tripping-fun-time a negative side effect- but after further research we found that people who don't even have food enjoyed the break from reality while having a full stomach.
Theyre best sauted with some garlic butter.
