Hello. Any MTBcyclists here ?
I am looking for my first proper mountain bike after doing my time with Nishiki hardtail, which is a great bike honstly, but I want and need more.
The problem is that I really have 0 knowledge about the bike parts and part makers and their quality and this is why I've come here to try my luck.
The thing is that I really fancy a DH bike, but the bike should be fit enough for enduro type cruising in the woods on trails and completely off-road. DH bikes tend to be too heavy and the suspension too "wiggly" for that purpose, I hear.
If there is anyone who did DH, FR or enduro I would love to hear your opinion on the matter.

that thing is going to be good only for downhill, you should look into a fancier full suspension bike instead of a downhill if youre going to be doing trail riding, specialized enduro or a santa cruz nomad would be a good choice

What are the downsides of downhill bikes in fact ? I understand the weight could be a problem, but my current bike is 14kg while this DH-bike is 17kg, not that big of a difference.
What are the other downsides when taking a DH-bike into multipurpose use?
Also I have been looking for Nomad but man they are under a rock. I can't and dont wan't to invest on a new one.
