hey /out/, i fished a bunch when i was younger, but lost interest, and with it, my tacklebox&pole.
so what would you consider a decent fishing pole that you can do about anything on, for a decent price tag? pref no more than 60$.
bonus points, if you want to give me a basic list of tackle for my box that'd be awesome.

Just grab a zebco with a reel style of your preference.
Can get them at Walmart for $20-$30.
Grab one of those little kid starter tackle boxes.
Sinkers, bobbers, hooks.
I always preferred live bait.
If you're doing bluegill all you need is some tiny treble hooks, don't even need bait.
If you want to surf fish you'll need a lot heavier gear. Same with anything ocean really- not going to get there for $60.

Stay away from poles with any sort of clear plastic. They shatter and break easier.
Im going to buy a new rod and reel tomorrow actually with about 60 bucks. Ill let ya know what I get. Or you can check the never ending fishing thread.

shakespeare is a good starting point, if youre looking to catch at streams, creeks, and ponds.
I'm sure you know what to get, sinkers, bobbers, etc
I'd suggest getting a trout magnet kit, they slay panfish
That price point doesnt really make a difference in brands. Just pick something that meets your fishing requirementa and gg. I would take some kind of spinning rod with proper lenght and teat for my all around rod. If you wanna backpack you can get travel rods everywhere nowadays
