Was kayaking around a secluded lake when I pulled over on a tiny beach to piss but found abandon pagaoda all boarded up hidden up the bank in the trees. I poked around it but almost fell in an abandon well and quit out of cowardness before I could check out the ancient overgrown house buried in the woods behind it. This was in northern New England in an area that used to be wealthy but has long since fell on hard times so I'd bet anything there's something in that woods worth investigating.

I was canoeing with my mom on a lake in New England when a Thunder storm came out of no where and drove us to shore. We hauled the canoe up into the woods and hid under a tree while we waited for the storm to pass. The rain started dying down but my mom was still worried about lightning so we putted around on land for a while when I stumbled across an old hunting jacket caked in moss draped over a mound of dirt. I was 12 so that was the highlight of the trip and when he got it home my dad cleaned it up for me to wear. He dated it as being roughly Vietnam era which doesn't really mean anything and there wasn't anything in the pockets but just finding an ancient hunting jacket so deep in the wood miles from anything just seemed amazing to me at the time.
