Probably pictures of Kris' body. The theory is that Lisanne crossed the monkey bridge successfully but Kris fell into the stream. Lisanne took pictures to show where the body were so people searching for them could find it. She probably knew they were both going to die at that point in time so she documented their last moments (8 days without shelter and food due to it being a short half day hike).

Jungle is a shitty place to travel through and work in, lots of dangers - especially for young, beautiful women.
Poisonous plants and animals, crazy people, tropical disease, dangerous terrain and weather etc. all wait the unprepared traveller.
I'd go in a big group with several GPS units, compass, maps and telecommunications for calling help, also flares and lights and whatever is used to signal aircraft.
Any other way, no. Well maybe with local people but no other way.

>and whatever is used to signal aircraft.
- Emergency flares
- Bright strobe lights
- Signal panels (pic related, very visible among dark green vegetation)
- Fire, smoke
- High power lasers, very visible in certain conditions

That doesn't look remotely like a body

It's what the official investigation says.
