What was the thing worth? Seems like it would be a write-off with that.
>$8,311.78 in parts
Jesus. Normally labor is the killer with shit like that.

Bought it as a holdover for $10,2.
I was going to sell it this spring anyways... insurance came back with about $7500 value on it, $2500 buyback.
So I got a check for $5k, which is what I'd have been happy to get out of it considering the condition it was in (raced, ridden hard)... and I got to keep the machine for parts.
Took the check over to my dealer that weekend and picked up my new machine.
Parts on it included tunnel, bulkhead, and engine. A lot of the little parts were fine, I'll sell off a lot of those... but the big shit was pretty well fucked. And with a hole in the engine case where it slammed against the bulkhead when I landed on the rock... it wasn't going anywhere fast.
Even with my discounts/deals and doing the work myself it'd have cost me well over $5k to get it running and somewhat straight again.
The '16 runs awesome though. Great motor, and the newer chassis is unreal.
