Depends what you want to do. For an outdoor amusement park I think the obvious picks are Zion and Yosemite. For a real outdoor experience maybe Denali?

Death Valley
It's the largest and amateurs die there
Glacier National Park

Death Valley is cool, and yes, absolutely massive. But it being so big, and hot, it can really only be explored by car. Which isn't as good as being able to hike through a park in my opinion. The trails it has are short for the most part, with few exceptions.

Second for GNP
Olympic National Park

Just came back from there, it's good but nothing mindblowing. Best part about it is it's surrounded on all sides by wilderness area for the most part so you can check out the stuff in the park but then go right out to dispersed camp, offroad, etc.

Of course I'm gonna be pretty biased living in WA. I would say Yellowstone would be at the top of my list but Olympic national park is absolutely stunning. Great place to go for hiking and fishing and to enjoy a nice day out with the family. Can't forget about the scenery either.

Yosemite. Except for the tourist trap that is the valley.

Someone's probably been shot at the Jazz park in New Orleans

Not the largest.
Wrangell St. Elias in AK is the largest wilderness.
