hey /out/ I want to row alone but to do so I need to be able to carry my kayak alone.

Problem is that its a freaking huge thing and even though its not that heavy its impractical for a single person to carry it.

To solve this issue I'm thinking about buying pic related.

Problem is that the only person I know that has bought one of those said that they are garbage. But I don't really buy it, he is prone to complaining about everything.

Anyone have any experience with one of these carts or have any better suggestions?

PS. I'm doing my rowing on a beach with lots of sand and minor inclinations between the place where I keep the kayak and the sea.

Cheers

They're garbage.

I bought one for the same reason. I am capable of manhandling my kayak and gear with my arms, but it gets old on long walks to the water.

I've made myself look like a fool every time I've used it there is no way to keep it from sliding off the spot you place it, making your kayak go weird ways, or fall of and dragged.

Get stronger arms is my recommendation.

This
Never used the kind that pokes through the drain holes, only the cradle and strap kind. If ypou don't get it positioned under the kayak just right it is a major pain in the ass.

Ok, thanks.

How about the cradle and the strap kind, how good are those?

they are much better than the scupper hole carts. you can actually crack the plastic around the scupper using a scupper cart. buy or make the strapped type. I made one out of a bike trailer for kids and bought the wheelies wheels separate. works great
