Read and mark where you find them, that cleavage is making it break into rocks and it has the luster/color of sodium feldspar, not saying it is that but you have to pick out individual properties first.

OP wants to know about rocks, im over here, drilling a 1 inch hole into a rock to make myself a mass killing assault rock of doom, to force the government to also ban assault rocks. but im pretty sure I stole the hardest fucking rock in the parking lot.. because I rubbed some bottle glass onto the top to check the hardness. and the shit was grinding away the bottle glass like nothing, 20 strokes max and I had like .5mm ground away. so I really don't think a concrete bit is gonna do me any good.

Collecting Rocks, Gems and Minerals by Patti Polk is a really good start. If your brain already loves geology, pursue it.
