Would anyone be interested in an Urban Exploration General? I can link a large collection of photos from abandoned factories, a cinema, a dance hall, a pub and such like.
Anybody want a look?
I live in a somewhat populated area, but I know these places exist.
How do I get into the groups of people that know about them?
>how do i /out/

Do research on local history, scout out the buildings yourself for security measures, be sensible, and talk to people

the grass was kinda high so it was hard to get a good layout of the place. I recommend visiting this place if you're in ontario anywhere. i hear its being torn down soon.
Nice thread op!
From my experience in my country (frenchfag here), you should also try to see on maps your government gave for "dangerous" places.
By example, the department of ecology published a map, with abandoned civil/military places accross my country. Since i live near the west coast, the map gave me the location of various german blockaus, and other mysterious places.
I don't think France is the only country to reference and share those places, you guys should try this.
And sorry about my bad writing/spelling/grammar. As i said, English isn't my first language.
I have a bunch from when I was younger, I live in Christchurch, NZ, so post quake there was quite a bit to explore

I'll post more if there's any interest
Sure there is. I actually have photos of an awesome location but have no idea how to find it as the urbex(er) I talked to is a cunt and won't exchange any info.

Your English is fine, and I remember exploring a bunch of German bunkers in Normandy as a kid. It's pretty fun, they can be quite confusing.

Here.
Not personally, although the majority of buildings weren't monitored due to being unsafe, and we were 17-18 so even when we did get caught it was just a light verbal warning. I would recommend sturdy shoes and a bandanna for covering your mouth and nose in areas that seem excessively mouldy/dusty. Also avoid going alone incase you fall through a floor or something (on a tangent there were a lot of rumours going around that people had set traps in abandoned buildings post quake (covered holes, spring loaded door traps, etc) not that I ever encountered any, pretty sure people were just talkin shit)
I dunno how to get into this. UER doesn't have much on the website. Only place I know near me is a building flooded with some kind of radiation. So that's out because I don't want my nuts to fall off.

Fellow frenchfag here, care to provide a link to said map ? S'te plait !

There's a lot here where I live, I got introduced to most of my favorite spots by friends who either researched and found out and about the spots and gathered a group to explore or had been shown themselves, I personally don't research much I'm more for woods trails but old buildings and caves are dank
Places in Maryland? I feel like ive done everything major.

Where on the westcoast? I know the German fortifications at Cap Blanc Nez just have signs saying 'danger'. Most of them are just your typical pill box, but some of them have tunnel digging deeper into the cliff. I've been in a few last time i was there, but i was on a family trip and didnt have a flashlight.

Once you are used to the settings, you can get some very specific results.

I was on the north of britanny, in the middle of the pic related, witch is a screenshot of the link i gave. The german bunker weren't very large.
bunkerpictures.nl/datasheets/france/cotes%20d'armor/datasheet-l'arquest.html
The link show one of the bunker near my house.
I didn't tried to enter this one, though.

One of the best abandoned places close where I live, I think its the only one Ive got, its a former state big as hell, sometimes there are events held in the perimeters of the area, marvelous at night
