>>816500

spydercos are pretty good all around medium level knives. does anyone know a national chain that sells alot of them? I am looking for a h1 rustproof and I want a spyderco, but diveshops want like $100 for one.
>>816500
Swisschamp for edc is more useful.
>>816523
I've always wanted the hardwood swisschamp.
So fucking sexy.

Yo. One word.
Mora.
>>816500
I like the Manix but I'd pick the lightweight.
>>816500
you claim it, you proof it
> pro tip, you can't
manix has been my favorite knife purchase so far
>>819120
>I would totally consider buying one if it weren't for the dumb ass hole in the blade.
Spyderco makes some knives without the hole.
>>819134
Even their fixed blades which don't need a hole for any reason still have a big goddamn hole in the blade!
Just give me a Kershaw.
>>816500
It's a great knife, but it's too large to accommodate all pockets in xl form. The Native or a Delica would prove better
>>816500
This is better, TBQH Familia
>>816500
Mora is better.
>>816606
older ones are definitely better
people whine about the holes, but I am liking them better than the studs
PM2 may be a meme to some...for the price I paid it was darn worth it
>>816500
Mora stainless companion is
>>816500
Leatherman Crater cuts string and opens boxes just as well and is better at opening beers. Plus it's cheap enough you won't cry if you lose it or the cops/TSA steal it. What else do you need from an EDC knife?
>>819120
>>SpyderShill puts giant obscene hole in the blade supposedly for your thumb but anon has to add a stud to it anyway
Anon puts nigger rigged wave mechanism on it you mean, right sog fanboy no1?
>>819267
>4 inch blade
>no finger guard
>>820160

For real is it worth the 180 or so it goes for. I have only ever owned spyderco and Kershaw but I have wanted a benchmark for a wile. That the one I have had my eye one.
I
>>820830
It is the best EDC knife I've ever carried, which includes various Spydercos and a couple of benchmades and some customs from Ray Laconico and Chris Reeve.
I will say the pocket clip sucks. Way too bulky for a knife this light and thin and it didn't even hold on a jeans pocket very snugly. I replaced it with a smaller clip I bough from ebay for about $10.
Now there is nothing I don't like about it and if I lost it I'd be quick to drop another $200 on a replacement.
>>819265
this.
>>816500
This is the only answer for me
It's 13 yrs old
>Benchmade is over priced
>>821127
Shit
>>820830
>For real is it worth the
No. No Benchmade is worth what they go for.
They're great knives, don't get me wrong, but they have a strict MAP policy, so all their knives are overpriced.
For example, a Griptilian used to go for $60-70 (around the same price as an Endura or a Voyager). Now the same Griptilian goes for $90-100 with zero changes in the design or materials.
>>821182
I never got into grips. When I was a poorfag I carried a Spydie Delica when everyone wouldn't shut up about grips.
Anyway, the 940-1 is easily worth the price. There is no better EDC knife.
