Can we have an /out/ approved headgear thread?
Just came across the Stetson Takani. I'm im love, and have no doubt it would be amazing for traveling in the summer, but the price point is a bit high.

Does it fit? Does keep the sun off your head? Does it keep you warm? Does it cost less than a new car?
/out/ approves.

>Does it cost less than a new car?
my new goal: find an /out/ hat that costs more than a new car. (a reasonable new car, say $30k, and one-off saudi prince bling faggotry hats don't count)
The only thing its woth buying

No we can't. Shut the fuck up and put on a fucking hat goddamn.

I bought an Outdoor Research Swift Cap several years back and it’s my go-to summer cap if I know I’ll be in the sun.
The mesh side panels and light weight nylon construction make it comfortable on hot days, though I wouldn't mind having a mesh cowboy hat for fishing.

Also picked up a Supplex GRX-301 Gore-Tex cap (in green) at Meijer a couple of years back for only $15.

I really like my Outdoor Research Pub Cap for winter wear; wool construction makes it warm and blasted with ScotchGuard, it’s reasonably water resistant. Classier then a baseball cap, so you can wear it to the pub and with the ear flaps pulled down, nice for snowblowing or walking out to the ice fishing shanty in the cold wind.
Protects against low sun
Also cuts down the amount of bugs buzzing around your head significantly
I bought a $6 Mexican Landscaper Special from a rack in Circle K for reasons.

I like those kinds of hats, they breathe well (Florida) so they dont make me overheat.

It really depends on what you are doing outside and the weather. For farming/mowing in the sun, nothing is better than the biggest sombrero you can find.

that is horridly autistic

No, fuck off. Either the thread works or it doesn't, stop being a faggot. Life has risks, and one of them is, "Will my thread successfully take off". Sometimes it won't, but you know what? We're all anonymous here, so if it fails, nobody will know or care. So just deal with it. Faggot.

Can we all agree this guy is an autist
>>807634
yep

Ushankas are better.
Only one real /out/ hat. My dad even got married in one.
>>806172
There is only one official /out/ approved headgear
>>807634
Takes one to know one.

helmets > hats
100% top tier hat
My ears ache really bad if they get cold and wearing this thing keeps them toasty and feels really cozy while /out/
