How could I hunt a bit in Europe, without much practise? I'm an okayish archer but I won't be making my own bow, so what are some easy traps, and how do I skin them? What are some stupid mistakes I shouldn't make?

Well it depends on what you want to do if you're doing traps you won't be taking on big game much if not at all. One of the mistakes I made was placing traps near someone elses property (they got mad and I never saw my traps again). You also have to decide how much effort you're going to put in it. Are you going to build your traps from stuff you find in the outdoors, or are you going to buy traps? Once you have that sorted out I would go out in the area you're thinking of trapping and find game trails, but don't disturb them. After you found some active game trails then you can set up you're traps.
Make sure that whatever you do is legal where you do it. I live in Sweden where bowhunting is outlawed, doing so leads to big fines or some time in prison.
Trapping here is fine, as long as the trap is approved by Naturvårdsverket ("ministary of nature", something like that) I think and you follow the guidelines/laws.

Find a good book on snaring and hunting small game. Choose your preferred hunting method. Learn all you can on that then trial it all /out/. Id start with rabbits
