>Yellowstone visitor, 23, who died after wandering off designated trail and falling into acidic hot spring that dissolved his entire body
>Scott recently graduated summa cum laude from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon
>Scott and his sister Sable had traveled about 225 yards off the boardwalk on Tuesday when he slipped and fell into the hot spring in the Norris Geyser Basin.

This is why you listen to rules and DO NOT LEAVE THE TRAIL!

Kinda ashamed that this guy is from Oregon. he should have known better. I have zero sympathy for people who die because they ignored rules and warning signs.

According to the park ranger who took the call the "thermal feature" he fell into was a fucking MUDPOT that was superheated (beyond the thermometer's range she says). She said it was approx 12ft deep (deeper than it was wide) and that it isn't a main/known feature and does not have a name.

Clearly he wasn't going in for a swim, unless he felt like lolling in a fucking boiling mudpot.
>pic is a shitty mudpot pic I took in Jellystone a few years ago
That thing was fucking viscious.

Just like in Looney Tunes
>>
>>791525
Some people say that Yellowstone is haunted and that skeletons actually live inside the visitors as they pass through the park.

I went to Jellystone, most of the people that visit there are functionally retarded. They have signs and warnings everywhere not to do shit yet people consistently do.
Heck, I saw people slam on their breaks and run within 20 feet of a grizz despite the park ranger yelling at them not to do so.

The place is awesome once you get a little ways away from the common tourist spots but you have to use a little commonsense when you do so. I hiked up one of their mountain trails and came across some couple who forgot to bring water on a 105 degree day.

More like super efficient, no casket, no funeral, no mess. We need more of these pits in the city, can you imaging the money we'd be able to save on section 8 housing if we had these?

Summa Cum Laude must not mean much at that school.

that would kind of be interesting to watch in a morbid scientific way
>>
o boy!

The NPS should film a video of someone throwing a dead cow into one of the thermal features and then go to a time lapse of it dissolving. Then, anyone wanting to enter the park should have to watch it. Throw in some bear and bison maulings for good measure.

Do you think that would get the point across?
>>
>>794574
Eh, no. It would make people even more curious about it and it would be a ridiculous shitshow trying to herd every visitor into a screening room for movietime followed by Q&A.

I mean, if I saw a cow getting dissolved in a mudpot or a dog being rendered in a hot spring I would be wondering wtf I should toss into one
>>
>>794574
Not worth it. Just let natural selection sort the tards out.
>>
>>794574

People would just throw in random shit.

>At La Brea tar pits
>go up to small pit, neato
>oh wait, there are tons of sticks/rocks/trash thrown into the pit
>fuck
>>
>>794577

Potatoes, onions, carrots and corn, get a good stew going.
