reading books you can actually learn stuff by reading tend to motivate me to read more, so try looking for some of those if you wnat to get into reading more. taking your time with a book is important, out it down if you dont feel like reading and then continue later, it should never feel like a chore
pic related is also a godtier /out/ book

It never doesn't feel like a chore. Unless I have no access to a TV or smartphone.
Last book I really read was "Three Cups of Tea". Got it for free from school and had lots of time sitting in the parking garage between classes smoking weed. Then I found out the guy was a thief and stole a bunch of money from the organization.
Non-fiction normally interests me more though. I read a book about the "Skunkworks" years ago and that one was good. Last real fiction book that got my attention, I can't remember the name of. It was for a world lit class and was from an Indian (as in India) author. A bunch of short stories about thieves and scumbags and corrupt businessmen. I guess there are some good books out there once you get past the works of your typical early-mid 20th century American authors that we get force fed in high school.
