Ask an anon who spent the last 2 weeks hiking/canoeing Voyageurs NP anything.
Currently seeking respite from mayfly swarms for a couple of days at the Kettle Falls hotel. Future plans include catching walleye, and illegally canoeing into Canada and shitting on one of their islands. Fuck Canada!

Dunno. Probably I would call it a red dragonfly until some local corrected me.
Yes clouds of them hover over shorelines for a few days. When I got here there were none, then about a week ago they started up, peaking on Thursday. They are almost gone now.

Paddled a few islands over the border, dropped the unused portion of a Kettle Falls burger into a nice pile, and planted a MAGA sign over the top of it.
Camping for the night on Yoder Island back on the US side. Caught a couple of small walleye for dinner to eat with some macaroni cheese.
