Hey guys, I live in tennessee and went out boating and saw this bird I have never seen before, I thought it was a duck. It flew out of the water into the tree, it was black, it had orange legs, it had an orange beak I think. But what it had was, and idk what these are but it had these yellow long things coming out of its head. Like 6 inches long.

Any clue what it might be? I live in middle tennessee, and the bird was beautiful. I am dying to know what it is.

anyone?
>>

More info needed

>approximate size
>proportions, example legs to body, neck length, beak length
Necessary, without proportions I don't know if we're dealing with something shaped like a finch or something like a heron

>number of yellow 'things' and how they were arranged on the head, in a pair if two or in a crest or halo if many?
>>
>>776875
Cormmorant?

There are a couple different species too. And they dive forever to catch fish, cool birds.

Happy to help, OP.
>>
>>776891
Maybe one of these holding something in its mouth that was yellow?
>>
>>776959
Look up the different species in your area. I have seen a few different types here in FL. The most common ones are jet black with the orange beak but don't have the crazy spikes on their head. But I have seen the ones with the two spikes and they are a bit larger than the others and more color to them.
>>
>>776875
This?
>>
>>776875
This? If this, cormorant. Some do have protruding head feathers. There is also a very similar species, the shag. The shag is funnier because in British slang shag means intercourse.
>>
>>776954
That penguin has Donald Trump's hair.
>>
>>776889
>Approximate size
About as big as a duck

Not sure about the proportions, but it had 3-4 yellow tendrils flowing in the back of its head.
>>776891
No I do not think so
>>
>>776875
Case closed.
>>
>>776984
No that is not it. They were hanging down on the back of its neck
>>
OP here. Again, it is a black bird with orange feet and an orange beek with long yellow tendrils hanging off the back of its head
>>
>>776990
Thats me mum m8
>>
You've got me confused. Was it a purple bird with green wing tips and yellow feet? Or a yellow bird with purple wing tips and green feet? Or... was it a white bird with black spots... like that soccer ball behind my easy chair?
>>
>>776990

would you say it was wood pecker sized? [bretty big] or more mocking bird sized?
>>
its a goot
>>

ha

Did your bird look like this OP? Because that's not a bird. It's a cat you idiot.
>>
>>777179
You sure it wasn't a duck? If we know it's the size of a duck, we have to at least consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the anitidae family on our hands.
>>
>>776875
A spoonbill of some kind?
>>
Are you 100% sure about the yellow feathers? They seem to be the hardest thing to account for. If you only saw it in flight it may have been a beak (pic related, a yellow beaked cormorant in flight)

Also I cant believe this hasn't been suggested yet, but draw it OP. Draw it for us.
>>
>>776875
Possibly a heron. Aka fish stealing nigger bird.
>>
That's a frog
>>
>>777290
well it flew into a tree, no way it was a duck
>>777539
100% sure on the yellow tendrils, not yellow feathers. They were floating off its head. And no it was not a cormorant
>>
>>777743
>implying ducks don't tree
>>
>>776875
Birds are not that important.
>>

Draw it OP, on paint, draw it. Give us a rough idea of what we're dealing with.

Sure
Birds do have their role in the ecosystem but in urban environment, they are quite problematic desu
How about
>pic related
>>
>>778609
>problematic

That sounds like a word for
>things that have adapted to an environment better than expected

You must be black.
>>
>>778609
They develop the same roles in cities m8.
i think hummingbirds also pollinizate flowers.

now, mosquitos.... thats a whole different thing imo
>>
>>778613
>You must be black.
No
I am not too fond with living things in general so I don't know about them other than physics about.
>>
>>778622
>city is not """""physics""""""
>what is building(s)
>why jet fuel can't melt steel bearms
Jesus christ you seem to be fucking idiot
>Yeah, you probably are black
No I'm not, I'm /g/entoo man with anime mousepad with neckbeard and autism who never goes outside
>>
>>778630
Physics is a science. It is not humans opinion that they must rule over everything. Physics exists whether or not cities do. I can expect this from an autistic /g/ user. Also, yeah, I still think you are black.
>>
>>778641
That is a very mericful way to kill a hog. Died very fast. Check out what China does to animals, you pussy.
>>
>>778643
Disappointed. Was expecting the rockets to send them flying a few hundred feet into the air before exploding.
>>
>>778648
I am refering to prolonging of death which is what China is known for pussy. Even fire, is a very short death. The nerves are burned too fast to feel much pain and you pass out within a minute from lack of oxygen. You aren't even good at being edgy.
>>
>>778652
>highly sedated

Lol they didnt even feel pain

Can you not even find real gore?
>>
>>778670
Found a home invasion video once. 2 men invade a home, kill the dad with a hammer and then make the mom watch as they rape the kids and then they kill all of them.

This is all during christmas and they made them unwrap the presents before they began raping and torturing. It was very graphic and blood and brain matter was everywhere. Seemed to be filmed with a go pro by one of the murderers.

Was more intense than 3 guys 1 hammer.

>>778681
