Hello /out/, I picked up a new stove (pic related, Primus Omnifuel II) and need to build a base for winter/snow use. A while back a Scandinavian anon posted a very nice base made of acrylic and aluminum tape, looking for suggestions on fabricating my own version. Needs to be lightweight, not melt under the stove, insulate the base from the snow, and have space for the fuel bottle.
Also, it's been a while since we had a stove general.

I don't know much but I'll lurk for interest.

Just compact the snow under and around it and put some tinfoil, Should do the work unless you are going to be melting snow for 3 hours. Kids these days... baka

Can you post a pic of something similar to what you are asking about?

I've used a thin wooden board as a base while mountaineering. It worked fine, doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

Late to the party but either this, a flat rock, or a shovel blade pressed flat into the snow. (Lightweight avy shovel for mountaineering)

He's dead anon. Should have given your advice earlier. He drowned because of melting snow like a maniac with his stove. Damn it. We could have prevented this.
Fucking Normies. Alcohol stove fag here.

That's a lot of BTUs. I don't think he was using a jet engine.
Not a full-size but one of those model airplanes. Gives me an idea...
