Retama is a weird ass small tree that drops its tiny leaves in drought and winter. It continues photosynthesis through the ribs and green bark of the tree. Nice yellow blooms

If you pay attention to the season you can see them. They come out twice a year, 8 weeks apart or some shit. Its cool that you can raise them, how do you get one? You can find the caterpillars on birch, alder and a handful of other trees. Do you catch them? Can i catch them? Wanna catch them together

Plymouth Red Belly, its technically a Northern Red Belly Coooter, but a completely isolated population for some reason only is found in Plymouth County, MA. i think the plymouth population is 200 miles from the northern most range of the Cooter so its almost a subspecies
