what camera did you use? and did you use long exposure?
>>727598
Hey !
Camera is the EOS 6D I take everywhere I go. Heavy, but it's a killer camera.
Lens is Canon EF 24-105 f/4 L
Exposure is 15sec, f/4, 3200ISO
Here the last one
So 9/9
>>727646
Why would they resize ? I'm sorry if you internet is so shitty it takes 10 minutes to load bro, but I enjoy some HR

I'll post a few from my JMT trip last year. Let me know if you're interested in seeing more, though they're only shot with an Iphone =[.

Alvord Desert, SE Oregon. 6 miles long, several mile wide dry lake bed. Lots of wind, but lots of fun after moving our tents to some wind shelter on day 2.
>>728399
Okay, it looks nice. Too bad we don't have as many different type of /out/ places here in France
>>728496
Well, given the size difference, much variety isn't possible. I am not a huge desert/dry land person, but occasionally it is nice.
>>728511
Yeah I know. I love French mountains and forest and a life is too short to know them all, but I'd love to see something else like a desert
last year in New zealand
I camped pretty much right on this cliff.
Got back today

Just on the Southern outskirts of Queenstown, nice.
>>727563
that looks stunningly alike to a moose, looking at it from far back.
Coire Ardair, Scotland. Took this after a full day hike to bag Creag Meagaidh. I was up in Scotland for a 3 week ecology work placement. That day we did a dotteral survey. I can post more pics if you want. Was pretty amazing.

>>730345
Nice. I guess this is actually the moon right ?
>>730343
Tuborg Green, I think!
>>730347
mhm it's the moon. and i took a few shots to get it just right so i didn't have to fôtoshop it either. which is kind of a proud moment because pretty much 9/10 of my photos are disappointing
>>730353
Yeah night photography is quite hard. What camera do you use ? I posted >>727563 because I'm quite proud of it even if it's shitty compared with other pro-night photographer. Still a lot of work to do it
>>730358
those are both really nice shots! i have a hard time getting good star shots because i think there's just too much ight pollution to cut through... so i need really long exposure times and/or really high ISO and both start to ruin the shot. you mind letting me know what the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed of those shots was?
I use a Pentax K-50. I love it, the weather sealing is really great so I can take it out in the rain and snow
I use a Canon EOS 6D, it's a really great camera, you can boost the ISO without ruining your shot which is nice. Also, the AF will work in almost complete darkness that's crazy
Shutter speed for the first pic is 15sec, so probably about the same for the second one. Aperture is f/4 and ISO 3 200.
On a normal shot I can boost up to 6 400ISO without a big impact, but on a plain dark texture it fucks the picture even at 3 200
>>730375
nice. yeah i try to keep it under 800. 1600 i can get away with on certain subjects, but smooth sky and darkness shows noise really badly
here's a sequence of star trails i did last summer which was kind of just a practice shot but it was neat
Took this yesterday hiking near Los Banos CA.
Beautiful day hike, great to see some green in the hills
Missonaries followed this creek to get into the central Valley from San Juan Bautista,
>>730377
nice shot.
Yeah I don't really know the pentax K50 but I assume it's about the same as a EOS 600D or something.
They're good cameras, but night photography is basically what will require the best camera.
You can take a shot as good as a 15 000$ if the light is good, but you can't do shit against that noise above 800ISO
Not taken many nice photos really but this is a quick picture i took when i was on a walk in south shields
>>731627
love sitting on the rocks down there talking to the walkers, always someone with a story
>>731629
