I think go with something a little more amenable. Not that it wouldn't be fun to survive the fuck out of a desert island, but a honeymoon is supposed to be about enjoying each other's company, not trying to find a way to stay alive. However, it might be a good test of the strength of your bond, so there's that. So I really am not going to be of any help here.

How far from civilization will it be? Have you booked it yet? I would just make sure you do it during the right season. Not the summer or rainy season.

It would be cool to do something like that in the Keys. There are so many tiny islands. Except I might want to trade the fishing spear for a personal chef. And my wife for a porn star.

You're in luck. There are actual 'companies' that exist who will take your hard earned bucks and drop you off on a deserted island and return at your set time.

I have always thought it would be fun to go to an island for a while like a settler.

I would bring
-Knife
-Axe
-Cross cut saw
-A bucket of nails
-A spool of rope
-A hammock
-Fishing pole
-Seeds
-Large pot
-10 plastic painters cloths (for catching water)
-3-6 months of food in buckets

I wouldnt go for ever but it would be fun to spend a lot of time out side and call for a pick up when i have had my fun.

It's not my place to judge, but your entire post kinda gives room to ask if you're sure marrying this girl is the right move. Past that, I would say absolutely no more than a week. Speaking from experience, being completely isolated from the world with one other person for that long is a surefire way to have a problem, and we had more that a sharp stick to entertain ourselves with.

I got married young too, only got into going /out/ later as a quarter life crisis thing having been a city kid for my whole life.
One thing is make sure she's not doing it for you, make sure she's just as into the idea as you are and hasn't just been swung by your enthusiasm because a honeymoon should be mutually enjoyable.
