Hey sc/out/s
I'm in need of a new sleeping bag. Looking for a 15° bag, poly fill, and something that will pack small and lean towards the lighter side
Anyone?
There's literally hundreds of reviews on the top sleeping bags by a quick wee little Google search. And there's already multiple gear/backpacking threads. Also this is a slow board. Give 24 hours before bumping.

That's the problem, too many reviews and half of them sound like shilling. Plus I'm not seeing a lot of reviews on polyfill bags in that temperature range except for big agnes.
I wish I was a mod so I could ban all gear-posters.
I mean, any knife will do, any shoes will do, any backbag will do, any sleeping bag will do...
Fucking kids these days need a manual and their mommy to hold their hand for every little task from wiping their asses to buying a goddamn mora knife!

it would help if they were condensed to one gear suggestion general thread.
make one and ask a mod to sticky it

I've been "making do" with what I have or could get cheap for 24 years. Now I'm more willing to spend money for something lighter, or warmer, or more durable. I just don't want to waste money on something that isn't an improvement over my $30 USGI bag.
>neglecting to include budget
pretty fucking crucial, op.
i have a marmot trestles 15 that i got on sale for about $70.

I don't really have a budget, I do care about getting what I pay for though.

Half the fun of going out is the gear, fuck off. People can discuss what works and what doesnt, that's the entire point of a forum.

Best thing you can do is go to a store where they actually display the bags and you can inspect them in person. I know REI does this, at least.
am I right in assuming that the temperature rating is for the overnight low?
it gets up to 30-35C here during the summer but during the winter it can get as low as 0C, do I buy a 0C bag and just sleep on top in the summer?

30-35 at night, with 0 during winter? Sounds like Western Queensland. Get two bags.
Or better yet, get a swag.

yeah its queensland
I've got a dune sentry bivvy so I was planning on getting a 0C bag and sleeping on top of it during summer

Except this is a fucking image board.
I'm currently looking hard at the big agnes bags. Anyone have an opinion on those?

An image board is a forum.

>Any X will do
Not if you're gonna get hypothermia, fuckface
>>726540
You must be joking...
