What are some /out/ approved manga and anime?
Been reading Kokou no Hito 'the Climber' and I NEED MORE
>cowbell
Pokemon
Mushishi
Kino's Journey
Bee movie
I recall hosting a similar thread a little over a year ago. Didn't get many replies cause there aren't many out there.
Mushishi would definitely be my first choice.

Princess Mononoke is very /out/centric. It's entire premise is founded on loving nature.

Those are the only ones I've seen that are /out/ related. I don't read a lotta manga, so I couldn't help you there, but I hope this thread gets some momentum.

I swear that show must be written by an outdoor equipment retailer. But that doesn't mean the advice isn't good. Loved the Americans on the Fuji climb. It IS just a little on the tastes-like-diabetes sweet side though.

A lot of Ghibli films are about nature, or more specifically a balance between nature and machines. with humans in the middle and magic adding some chaos

Mushishi is fucking gorgeous. So quiet and pretty subtle at times. It's like dream-logic folklore. And yeah some Ghibli movies are pretty /out/. I love it when they just let their characters exist, show them making things and exploring and actually being a part of the world, like the first scene of Nausicaa.
I don't watch a lot of mango so I can't really contribute, just wanted to express my love for Ghibli.
