Enlightened Equipment Revelation is finally here! Caught the backside of Christmas orders and that was about 5-6 week backorder.

Got what I wanted, very higj quality materials and craftsmenship!

Sized for quilt cover over two bags or as summer quilt/bag for one.

The EE Revelation zips closed at the feet with a drawstring on the end and has straps to secure under pad for the top.

Put on top of my queen size bed, the long, xwide covers side to side and has a taper at the feet.

20D outer, 10D inner, 850PF downtek, 10*F rating.

Sooo comfy!

All at 39g.

> s/b 29.5g

Sorry.
>>
>>704105
>Upon further review:

Units must be in ounces. Back from my doper dayz, 28+ grams ==1 ounce.

There is no way my new quilt is 1 oz!

Must be 29.5oz, a bit under 2lbs.

Again, sorry for the confusion, it is all on my end.

I just ordered a ready to ship black inner/ blue outside Revelation 20. I also have a TNF Blue Kazoo 15. Don't know which one I should take in my PCT thru-hike next month

Is the Revelation Down Tek? If so, take it!

I'm looking for a SUL Bivy now.
>>
>>704522
It's not. I would've ordered a custom downtek quilt but I'm pressed for time. Revelation is 800 fill and the TNF is 650 fill.

Should be fine if kept dry.i wound up packing two full bags for a recent winter trip, my quilt wasn't ready for. I used them one inside the other and was very warm! Would have preferred the quilt, at the time.

Another configuration for the EE Revelation, pic related.

I've read that quilts are drafty. I can't decide on which one I should keep.

> drafty

Turn your heater off and use it on your bed. My heater has been set to +48*F since Feb 1st. People at work can't believe it. I'm hot now.
>>
>>704742
the quilt weighs about a pound less than my north Face mummy bag but the TNF bag is rated to 15 and is water resistant. What do?
>>
Is there some kind of primer on using quilts for people who are used to sleeping bags?
>>
>>704920
if you use a blanket to sleep with at home, you'll do just fine with a quilt.

many quilts offer a cinch at the foot end, which will help retain heat when it's cold. you'll likely want a warm balacava or other insulated headwear to wear over your head if it gets cold at night.

an important consideration is to get a quilt that fits you. if it's too large, there are pockets of air that will be difficult to warm, along with more gaps for warm air to escape from.

Take the best one!

>10*F

Op here, I may need one rated at 40*F, this one will be far to warm for sholder seasons much less summer!
>>
>>706649
I think another advantage of a quilt is that it's easier to keep cool with too. Just like your blanket at home, you just shove it part way off your body when you're warm.
