If you're the microphonymous who posted stereophonic audio of a marsh ages ago then kudos to you and more please.
>>684940
And for OP here's a picture that's exactly one pixel too short to be a 1080p wallpaper. I hope this bothers you as much as it bothers me.
>>684940
fuck. me.
>>685088
>If you're the microphonymous
yep that's me! well, it's mid-winter so there hasn't been much to record for months now. i went back to the swamp to record in Sept and it was dead silent. here is the last recording i got for 2015, mid-september.
https://clyp.it/ets2onme
unless I get a good opportunity with my contact mics (ice, train rails, etc) i probably won't be recording much until the peepers come out in april

Spring is coming.
>>685232
ten weeks friend. in ten weeks the peepers will begin to peep. it will be glorious. they're only /out/ for a couple weeks and last year I didn't have my whole NatGeo-quality recording rig assembled yet, so the recordings weren't as good as they will be this year
>>684967
hey ive been there
>>685141
Thanks Matt! I've been a huge fan of your recordings since you've been posting them on /out/.
>>684940
WHY
>>684940
Please make a new thread, I don't want to see this picture again.
>>685364
wait a minute, who is this?
>>685442
I'm a master of 4chan that can identify anyone over the internet....
Relax, we don't know each other. When I went to save the clip in >>685141, my autodownload software suggested a filename of Matt CrXXXXX (redacted for your privacy). I don't know how it knew your name, because I don't see it anywhere on clyp. Promise I'm not a stalker, I've just saved the swamp and katydid files, and play them on a loop. My own pond in the backyard is silent because it's winter in Kansas too. I was just curious if that was really your name, and posted it just to see if it got a response. Please don't let this stop you. I just wanna hear frogs, and your quality recordings are fantastic! Keep up the good work, sorry if I freaked you out.
>>685690
Aah I see, that makes sense. Yeah I guess clyp.it doesn't strip metadata. I kinda thought it did. But anyway, no skin offa my nuts, it's all good! Glad you enjoy the recordings. My youtube and soundcloud channels are the place to keep an eye on if you want to see/hear more.

Just kidding everytime you go out into the wilderness I like to see how close I can get without you noticing
You smell different when you sleep lol
>>685695
If I didn't like your work, it would've been kinda fun to mess with you. Dox you and tell you that I follow into the woods whenever you go out, and that I think your eyeballs look delicious, and offer to eat them.
I'm not that kinda guy, and I respect artists of all media types. Glad you took it well.

>I'm the only one in my family who hasn't heard peepers yet
there are lots of peeper recordings available out on the net friend. granted, none of them are of the INSANE quality of my recordings, but still. also, where are you from? the south? new zealand?

And just think - these are ALL females, trying to lay eggs. Wow.
>>686776
Damn I never knew this was a thing people enjoyed. I live in Alabama and there's a pond by my house. Those little fuckers go mad for hours in the. summer.
If they're silent for awhile you can make a call and they'll actually respond and start going off again.
>>686824
people enjoy them more if they don't grow up with them, because it's new and interesting. anythign exotic is more interesting. but, i grew up with screaming peepers and i enjoy them just because of the sheer spectacle that they are... millions of chirping frogs drowing-out everything else across the horizon. it's impressive, and pretty neato.
>>685042
Did you take this pic? It's beautiful.
I've been using this forever. Yes, it's not 16:9, my computer crops it as needed.
>>684940

The first-person view and extremely saturated colors make it look dreamlike, too. It's like a real photo of a nightmare.
I'd hate it, but I'm impressed.
