Why do you sag your hammock so much? I wouldn't trust that set up in the rain.
>>664254
>>664337
I had the tarp set high because it was only supposed to have a 10 of rain, and I enjoy looking out of the hammock, enjoying the breeze.
With that much sag you lay flatter, when you correctly lay at an angle. You actually lay less flat as you cinch down your hammock tight.

Just a picture from my potato phone from when I was in Chile. I probably breathed in a pound of salt dust when I was down there.

A mountainside stream in Peru at about 3500 meters. The altitude was screwing up my traveling companion.

Picture of the town of cusco in Peru near machu picchu. Pretty touristy, but it's for good reasons, the place is gorgeous.

my girlfriend's granddad was a doctor and he used to live in this tiny house. it's only accessible by boat or when it's really low tide. it used to have a working telephone line to it because as a doctor he had to be on call. nowadays the nearest medical facility is about 3 hours away. no electricity, no running water. we use the fireplace to cook food on a peat fire. the smell is amazing and it's by far my favorite place to be. i never grew up near the sea so any time i can spent on the beach looking for crabs and other funny creatures is time well spent in my opinion.

Is this in the Scottish Western Isles?
>>666477
it actually is! how did you guess?
>>666490
Been to Harris (and the Orkney Islands). The Western Isles have a very distinct look.
>>666492
i'd love to visit all the islands! what are the Orkney islands like?
This is as far as i've been from mainland Scotland. (not counting home)
>>666495
They are more plain and flatter except Hoy. Hoy is amazing with it's mountain. I went in late September so it was really quiet, I'm planning to visit Shetland this September.
>>666499
aw man you're living the life! where do you live?
(no pics from Scotland anymore. Austria now)
>>666502
I don't live the life, I live in Norfolk...
Best I've done so far is 20 months in Tasmania.
I recommend taking the small ferry to Gramsey, a small island with about 30 people living on it. It's great to walk around and see Hoy and the Orkney mainland in the background. Then take the ferry to Hoy and climb the mountain to see out over all of Orkney, it's the only place you can do so.
>>666503
sounds like you do a good amount of travelling though.
I want to make a list of all the mountains in Scotland that are worth climbing. Hoy will definitely added to the list!
is Tasmania as beautiful as people say?
>>666510
Add Hoy even though it's practically a hill it is very unique.
Mate. I went to Australia on a working holiday visa intending to spend 3 months in each place. Two weeks after flying to Melbourne I saw the "spirit of Tasmania" ferry, huge white and red ship and to me it looked like adventure. I got to Devenport in Tasmania, a small town of 10000 or so and the beach was littered with driftwood and cuttlefish bones and I knew this is what I came for.
Tasmania is an Island the size of Ireland with 1/10th the population. The whole West is wilderness. I worked on a 3000 acre farm, only 120 acres was used, the rest was bush. I went hiking in the mountains they owned and there was a huge ravine. On the other side were cave entrances which would require rope to access. I asked my boss about them (70 year old man) and he said no one has been in them since his son was a teenager.
If you can get a working holiday visa you have to go to Australia and Tasmania. In Tasmania there is a saying: If you're on a beach and someone else is there, just go to another beach. I fished over 300 squid in 3 evenings and froze them to eat all year. I've camped on islands with no other people and no lights to see, 25km from the nearest person with my girlfriend nude on the beach.
It's like heaven and I'm working on becoming free again.
>>666529
well here in the Netherlands we barely even have hills so anything is better than flat fields with cows.
woah dude! that's amazing!!!! man you make me want to book a plane right now!!!
>>666539
ah fuck that wasn't supposed to happen...
>>666539
Hey you should do it, before you're too old. Lots of jobs in Australia if you're willing to work hard. Canada is also a good option I hear.
>>666545
i've been told but isn't it really hard to get a work visa? or is it allowed to do some work with a tourist visa? Canada is definitely on my list of countries i need to go to. i got a good friend in Canada i can stay with so that shouldn't be a problem.
>>666555
forgot pic
>>666555
Look up a Working Holiday Visa I think you may be eligible.
Nice double trips.
>>666560
yeah i don't think it should be too much trouble.
hm yeah... maybe it's a sign
>>666568
Do it faggot.
>>666571
nah i got other plans. i'm saving up to move over to Scotland. then i'll book tickets to every place i want to visit.
>>666584
Also a great plan. All the best. Pack-rafting is a great thing to do in Scotland.
Haven't gotten /out/ as much as I would like after two hellish 20-credit hour semesters in a row. I'll post a few, though.
Pic related is the north arm of the Great Salt Lake at sunset, from near the spiral jetty. Sorry about the funny angle, but it was as cold as I've ever felt in Utah, so I was in a hurry.
Note the huge expanse of exposed lakebed. It's probably 5 miles to the lake itself; it's at a near-historic low.
>>666596 never heard of it, i just googled it and it sounds great!
>>666609
Stansbury Island in the south arm of the Great Salt Lake. Taken in June, for comparison.
The 5 MB file size limit is incredibly annoying. My phone appears to take pictures at around 5.3 MB every time.

Indiana anon here, were these taken in the Charles C. Deam wilderness area? Curious, I have a picture of a turkey vulture flying over Monroe res. and was curious.
where'd you go OP, should we continue?
How far can you walk anyway? We may be able to help you figure out how to do a little more than you think. There are a number of anons here with significant health problems so you're not alone.
>>666288
Send your drives to a recovery service.
I once hot old data after replacing the controller board on my drive. It burned out a power rectifier or some shit when my shitty power supply went. Lost my motherboard too. Moral of the story: back up your shit and buy quality components.
>>666338
Fuck, I know this is not in the spirit of /out/ but I want to drive that road so bad. It looks fun as hell.
I feel a Lancia Stratos would be a pretty good choice.
>>666401
Nova Scotia, some Scandinavian area or Scotland. That whole northern Ireland, Scotland, Alaska, Russia. Basically the arctic circle or lower to a point.
I know shit about shit desu.
>>666490
not that anon but because you said peat. That plus cool pics of the area gave it away. I'm jealous, it looks like the perfect get the fuck away from all the bullshit spot. 10/10 would drink local scotch by a peat fire.
>>666984
>. There are a number of anons here with significant health problems so you're not alone.

Most tho are lazy fat fucks that did it to themselves.
But this op, tell us what you can do and where you are so we can get you /out/
