Can walk 25km in a day but I don't do it often. Usually more like 12-18 km because I goof around, rest an hour or two in the afternoon looking at the clouds etc. I frequently stop to work too (/p/ here) which takes a fair amount of time overall.

But if you want specifics fine, I go anywhere from three to thirty miles.

It depends on the hike, the terrain, elevation, the weather, the amount of time I have, the amount of time I'm planning on being /out/, how much weight I'm carrying, whether or not I had a good night's sleep or a skipped breakfast, if I'm solo or hiking with friends, etc.

I do at least 50 monday-friday, usually average 300 per week

I walked at least 25 km today and I'm pretty fucking beat

not more than 5 kg on my back tho

Me and some friend went on a supposedly 10-11 mile hike for our first big hike. Ended up being 15 at the least because of a detour (they think 17 but I'm skeptical).

Hardly any of us could walk when we got to the site, the next day we were still way too sore to do much else. Gonna stick to 7 miles a day for now, 3-4 for day hikes.

You eat a big lunch when you get to the top, guzzle 3 liters of water on your way, your legs are on fire, and when you get back you've lost 8 pounds. (not sure how really) And because you go from sea level to 4500 feet, in a strait line almost, you look at your GPS and go "hmmm. I hiked 5 miles today."

Light day: 10-15km
Moderate day: 15-25km
Loong day: 30-45km

Depends on terrain obviously. I have done snowshoeing in deep powder and mixed terrain while hauling over 100lb of gear and been totally drained in less than 5km, or conversely done as much as 45km in a day with a minimal pack over two mountain passes on good trails.
