Got an interview for the potential to be an axe throwing coach. It's over Skype where my solid handshake skills are useless. How do I break the ice?
Should I go suit and tie?
Plad and fur hat?
Do....do I shave my beard?
Halp, what do I do?

how awkward are you?
after the basic introductions say something like like " for posterity's sake lets imagine i just gave you a fantastic hand shake with the ideal amount eye contact" to break the ice.
trim your beard. dress business casual and admit you were not sure how to dress for a Skype interview. maybe crack a joke about having a change of clothing handy.
jus b urself :^)

I'm never myself for a job interview...In fact half of my resume is a lie, other half is just the truth stretched out. All the questions they ask I lie through.
I now work at a hospital, making 19.34 an hour, with full benefits. Given I do work my ass off at the jobs I have.
So when asked a question, answer it right then and there. Don't fumble with your words. Think of yourself as hot shit, don't come off cocky about it.
Also this would be better suited for /adv/ not /out/

>axe throwing coach
I'm pretty sure you have some leverage here. In my opinion if I wanted someone to teach people to throw axes for me I would want the first impression to be some hardcore-looking motherfucker, but not pretentiously so. Keep beard, if it's big you could leave it big but make sure it looks neatly trimmed and brushed or whatever. I'd wear plad but no hat. Tie hair back if it's long. The goal is to look badass but also look intelligent, like you have your shit together and can be committed to doing your job as a professional.
Just be confident, but not intimidating. As an axe throwing coach you want people to respect you for your abilities and strength but come off as friendly and relaxed so that people feel comfortable around you.
Sorry I was away, who would have thought id find such rich advice on 4Chan, particularly the one about the solid handshake, nailed it.
Anyone else?
Also here is another great question- Should I wear my headset?
What should my mood message be?

No
>Plad and fur hat?
Plaid, sure, no hat
>Do....do I shave my beard?
Fuck no. Unless it's a wimpy 2-week affair.

i'd wear the headset if you think you might encounter any background noise - roommates, pets, spouse, etc.
