i am going to be dropping a tree tomorrow, so ill take pics as it happens. from using the lift, to hauling the brush, to chipping and shredding the branches, ill try to get some good pics and post them. meanwhile, i will green text a work /out/ related story:

>county sheriffs come to our work and arrest the guy while he is UP IN A TREE on a lift
>claim he is brandishing the saw as if it is a weapon
>more charges
>he spends the weekend in jail, but his sister pays his bail on monday morning
>shows up for work on time later on monday morning
>protection order has been filed though, meaning he cannot be within 1000 feet of her
>remember, the wife lives in the park and the husband works in the park
>it is basically illegal for him to come to work
>she calls county
>sheriff shows up again and arrests the guy

Its not often you get to fell a tree. The best bows are made from the thicker trees. Depending on how thick it is you could make 6-10 long bows from it.

Engineering geologist here.

I spend a lot of my working time studying the ground and digging holes. I'm always curious of what soil and rock I'm going to find, no matter how often I do it.

unfortunately, i get to fell about 40 more trees because ash bore ripped through my park and killed just about everything. pic related, its one of the guys pulling part of the trunk out of a back yard. kinda shitty picture, but i didnt even know i took it at the time and found it on my phone.

pic unrelated. it was the sunset at the end of the day. and what a shitty day it was. since tomorrow is a holiday and the start of a long weekend, nobody showed up today except for a few workers. no corporate people, no contractors, nobody. we had a shit ton of work to do and no bodies to put on the jobs. just a clusterfuck of a day.

yeah, some seasonal dipshit thought it would be fun to take the tractor "off roading" through a bit of woods. he ended up ripping the tire up on a tree stump he didnt see.

pic is of a condemned trailer. meth heads got ahold of it and ripped it apart inside. it is a pity because the home is only 3 years old and when new was worth about 35k.

Does work in the service industry outside count? I work for a company that manages golf/ski properties.

Because your customer is outside YOUR are outside. Rain or shine. Average about 65 hours a week with maybe 5 spent on office time.
