I live in Cape Town. I know the best shark guide for the job. You can stay for free at my place if you come visit.

I was out once at seal island and checked a little pup getting chowed by a giant 3m great white. It was just red everywhere.

We saw 12 great white sharks in 2 days just to give you a idea.

We also have a urban legend shark called "Submarine" that is probably a Megalodon that has been around for almost 30 years. Multiple people has spotted this 10m+ beast over the years.

A month-long trek in the swedish north with my dog. Always beautiful weather and a pack weighing only 10 kg or so if I'm allowed to traverse the boundary between real and impossible.

You seem like a true gent. Is it pretty bad what with the whole blacks hating whites thing? Or is it all just exaggerated on the news? I'm not really up to date on SA, I just really want to go there.
>>
>>629579
Your dog is going to eat 10kg of food in that month. I suppose you could just eat your dog>>629694

my ultimate /out/ experience has nothing to do with hiking or what this board is normally about but here goes:

2 months in the south pacific (or more if i could i guess). me and my grill. sailboat. ilsand hopping. and surfing every day.

i used to surf every day in the summer when i was a kid. i really miss that. it's not exactly packing my mora into the wilderness, but it is outside.

I'd like to travel the wildernesses of Europe and Canada. Start in the North in the summer and make my way south in the winter because I can't stand anything above 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ultimately would love to settle down in some rural town by the sea.

I've done that. Go. It's amazing
>>
Got a dream set in mind, and I plan to follow through on it within the year.
>buy a small truck/hatchback
>save up around 10 grand or so
>make my way up through the pacific north west and into Canada, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing
>potentially make my way into Canada and head east
>make my way down the east coast of the US, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and spending time on the coast
>make my way through central/southern US and make my way back home
>also, for money, stop in towns I like and work odd jobs until I have enough money to keep traveling

we'll see to what extent I can make this work, but comes down to it, ill post pictures of what parts of my journey happen and do an AMA if I finish my journey. So far I'm only in the very early parts if the planning stage, but id really like to make this shit happen

i love how marvel universe shits on physics all the time especially acceleration.
ironman gets smacked through 2 buildings which requires him gaining supersonic speed in a split second but he is fine because he is wearing armor... while in reality even if the armor survived the entire dude would be mixed up in there internal organs all over the place bones broken joints torn blood vessels burst and whatnot
superman always does shit that would utterly destroy the manipulated object or person pretty much on every page

Getting a guide is great as they have the routes planned out and they know people along the route so it's easier to get lodging for the night and communicate. They're also super nice and fun to hang out with. I became friends with our guide and we still keep up with one another.

Alternately, if you want to do it without much help, you can also hire them to help you secure your supplies and a horse (you won't get one without a Mongolian helping you). As you're riding around, you can stop in and take a break at people's homesteads. Just make sure to bring a gift to thank them for their time and don't stay too long, they have shit they need to do. If you're lucky they might have some milk vodka or arkhi to share (it's fucking delicious).

When we were there we used this family company named Stepperiders. They're awesome.

Besides that, there are almost zero fences or private land in Mongolia. It's all public, so point your horse in any direction and just blaze your own trail.

Putting all of those massive bodies in our solar system would completely fuck the orbits of every planet and probably ruin everything.
There is so much to consider that most people aren't even aware of how little they know about space

>>637753
I really hate comics for this reason. There is so much amazing stuff that happens in real life that comics and their ridiculous antics don't even measure up
>>
>>637785
The purpose of comic books is to just be completely ridiculous. It's a bunch of superhuman athletes in colorful spandex punching people in the face. How serious could that premise be?
>>
>>637785
Even if all the planets are lined up, they don't really affect each other's gravity. The distance between them is far too great. Stuffing some more planets into the solar system won't really change much.

I want to record a volcano erupting. I want to record an earthquake (not in the city). I want to record frozen tundra and weird jungles.

Out of all of recordin' needs, the most realistic one on my bucket list is to record wolves. I want to go /out/ and record wolves so fucking bad. I got plenty of coyotes but wolves resonate so much deeper in me. I feel like being chilled by the sound of wolves is something that directly connects us to our prehistoric ancestors.
