Do y'all have any /out/ related tattoos?
I really want something sort of along the lines of this, but I'm not sure how it would look on my more muscular calves.
>>
>>454567

more stupid as fuck looking tattoos. I love /out/ and I love trees but that's fucking dumbshit right there
>>
>>454582
Thanks for the positive contribution, you twat.
>>
>>454582
Doesn't look stupid, you just have poor taste. Its placement isn't the best, forearm would be much better for trees or lengthy things.
>>

Thought about getting a quote on my forearm, thought about getting antlers on my left shoulder, thought about a few others, etc. Honestly, if you're getting a tattoo, I think it should mean something to you. I haven't felt the need to get one, but perhaps one day I may. As others have said though, your picrelated looks a bit... odd... Trees are cool, tattoos CAN be cool, that's a weird looking one.
>>
>>454624
All shitposts look stupid and are in poor taste.

If you hate tattoos so much then hide the thread and save your edge for when you need to baton open your next bottle of mountain dew, faggot.

And the proof that your preconceived notions regarding tattoos are outdated and just plain wrong. Imagine how many people you've interacted with, or (gasp) relied on, have tattoos that you are completely unaware of. Does the thought make your Victorian sensibilities squirm and writhe in agony?
>>
>>455260
>Imagine how many people you've interacted with, or (gasp) relied on, have tattoos that you are completely unaware of.
>that you are completely unaware of

Why would they need to cover their tattoos if having one isn't a problem anymore?
>>
>>455261
>Because everyone gets tattoos in places that are exposed and not covered by clothing

Do you normally have problems with complex thought?
>>
>>455261

Tattoo placement is a matter of personal choice. In my case, I haven't found a design that I feel strongly enough about that would also fit an area of my body that is typically exposed.
>>
>>455264
It's almost like they knew visible tattoos are a whole other level of trashy and a sign to never hire that person above minimum wage!

>>455260
In my country, admittance to university is practically a formality now, as someone pro tat remarked - it's not the 50's any longer. Not everyone teaching a university class is decent or well educated. You could be teaching media studies to kids who failed school.
>>
>>455239
The view of tattoo'd people being scummy / lower class / from broken homes / criminals still holds true in my part of the world.

If it isn't going to hold you back from your chosen career, do it, but people will assume stuff about you, it's worse than being black in that sense, people actually choose to have tattoos.. which gives stark clues about their judgement.

They told her to cover up with band aids, but she just looked like she'd been in a horrible accident so they sent her home anyway.

kek

I'm not surprised parents wouldn't want someone like that near their kids.
>>
>>455322
Wow, this situation really sucks. One one hand, there's nothing she can do about her tattoos besides cover then up. She probably got these tattoos when she was much younger and didn't realize the impact it would have on her future. On the other hand, this is a strict Catholic school she's trying to get into. You can't be all tatted up like that in most schools, especially a religious one. It looks so unprofessional. It's also sending a bad message to the kids. They see a teacher with tons of tattoos, and maybe they want to get a few on their arms or neck too, not realizing that it will hurt their chances of getting a good job when they're older. And so the cycle continues.
She's being punished for a decision made by her younger, naive self. It's terrible, but it also would be terrible to have a bad image be reflected on the school for hiring someone with this many visible tattoos.
What she should do is try covering up her tattoos better. Maybe wearing a turtleneck, or a cute infinity scarf. That's all she really needs, a nice fashionable scarf. As for the hand tattoos, why not use cover-up to hide them?
And then at least if the students see her covering up all her tattoos, they'll learn a lesson about tattoos in the workplace.

All you need is cover-up. Which is basically makeup that matches your skin tone perfectly that you use to cover blemishes on your face. They sell it in every shade imaginable so it's not hard to find a match for your skin tone. Although finding a good high quality one that can cover up dark ink on skin would get a little pricey. Or you could just layer the makeup which would cover it better.

You must be american. In the UK, someone begins as a lecturer, then becomes a senior lecturer, then a reader, then if they're excellent, a professor.

In the US, anyone who teaches in a college is granted the title "professor".

You actually have taken no side in this debate but decided to post anyway because you care so much about how anons talk to each other?

>>
>>455864

And you just keep acting like a child because you're anonymous on the internet.

>Welcome to 4chan. Enjoy your stay.

This is the issue. "It's 4chan so I can treat other people like shit" is the stupidest fucking reasoning ever, but it's so appealing to people for some reason. My guess is that they have no chance to express themselves healthily IRL so they take to the internet and treat other people like shit because there are no repercussions. God forbid someone point out your indefensible treatment of your fellow humans.

It doesn't matter if you're on 4chan, you're still shitting on someone else to make other people feel better and that still makes you a shitty person.
>>
>>455865

Nope. Not really the case. You're applying an outside opinion on what is pretty normal discourse. This isn't the HR department, it's the bar room after work where coarseness is understood to be common parlance.

Your personal subjective rules about common courtesy don't apply to groups of people who agree to say what they want however they want and understand that this brand of communication is perfectly normal. There is no reasonable expectation of courtesy that adopts is rules from outside sources. This place has it's own ecosystem. You can't find your niche and you're playing self appointed better-than-thou in retaliation.

In fact, this whole line of discussion is in fact the result of YOUR aberrant behavior. This thread is now worse off with you in it despite the >all tattoos are shit

It seems you've crafted the environment to fit your desires. Just because you see 4chan as the "anything goes" environment you're describing doesn't mean it is. My contentions are based on simple human interaction, whether that interaction occur on the internet, phone, in-person, whatever. Maybe treating others like shit is "common parlance" here, but that's not a defense; it's an appeal to the status quo. And, apparently, that status quo isn't as concrete as you'd like me to believe, otherwise I would not be challenging it, nor would >>455889, who seems to be equally embarrassed for you.

No, I'm pretty sure they would just assume it was the Jews.

No. No it wouldnt. it might be a "cool piece of sci-fi / fantasy art" but that doestn mean it would be a cool tattoo.

If I see tattoo people, I assume they'll be unable to express themselves without resorting to vulgarity, insults, I assume they'll have a limited vocab and be quick to temper.

All things that have been pretty much been borne out as true in the thread..
>>
>>455242

this is actually a fairly accurate categorization even if it doesn't directly address bikers, convicts, gangsters, sailors, seaman and pirates

kinda hard to do that when

this is a fact proven by every encounter i've ever had with tattooed human scum
>>
>>455942

Except...how do you know that you haven't encountered decent humans who have concealed their tattoos?
>>
>>455945
these are the exception to the rule. if they have enough foresight, modesty, discretion, intelligence or whatever, to get the tattoo in a place that is hidden under clothing in most situations if they choose to, then they probably are more decent people
>>
>>455945
>Except...how do you know that you haven't encountered decent humans who have concealed their tattoos?

I don't mix in those types of circles personally. So I'm pretty sure I haven't, but like AIDS patients, how to be completely sure? Not associating with faggots is a good start though.

Holy hell that made me laugh. I'm showing this to my kids.

jesus christ is that the dumb cunt? look at that stupid shit she has all those fucking metal hooks in her face. this bitch hasnt changed or learned anything at all. i wouldnt want this dumb cunt anywhere near me or my children. i dont want her anywhere near any children. fucking trash needs to be deposited in the garbage and kept there
>>
>>455964
lol wow anon that's harsh. I agree I wouldn't want her near children, handling / preparing food or in a position of responsibility, but she could still find honest work.

At the very least, she serves as an example that tattoos do impact your choice of work.

you don't mix in any circles
>>
>>455971

I wouldn't wilfully associate with a tattoo'd person, any more than I would an intravenous drug user. We can never know what people are hiding, but as you grow older, people mostly hang out with others of the same socio economic groups, professions. I wouldn't know how to meet a tattoo person on a personal level, I've only seen them in the streets.

>>455971
>you don't mix in any circles

The wit of tattoo people precedes them.

Man you must live in a slum. Not that guy but I only see tattoo people when I look for them (buskers, homeless people, bikers). If you're living a professional lifestyle, you won't meet many vermin.
>>
>>456006
How the fuck would you know? Do you work and live in a nudist colony? Do you not realize every person you see in a professional setting has 90% of their body covered by clothing? Do you personally strip search every acquaintance to make sure they live up to your antiquated decency rules?

>How the fuck would you know?

By talking with others face to face, you may gain a good idea of their views on tattoos / drugs / politics etc. If you ever have the chance to make friends, you'll have a good idea of how they feel about many issues without stripping them naked.

>>456009
Why is bad taste ubiquitous?

Didn't your mother teach you that just because something is popular, it's not necessarily a good thing? Wait - she's covered in tattoos, right?

Most of my professional and social circles, find hard drug use and tattoos to be the preserve of the underclass. We could all be lying to each other, but I doubt it.
>>
>>456014
Thats just it though. You're conflating how the underclass does things with the act itself.

A doctor might get his kid's name tattooed on his chest. Your local bar slut has a tramp stamp. That war hero who went on to have a succesful and respected career might have "johnny" on his ass. If you'd been through wgat he'd been through you'd understand. Prison Mike has a barcode on his neck.

Yeah and he might not. We could substantiate the others from memory and experience, for some reason they seem far more likely. What is that reason though?
