Before camera phones were the norm I looked around a few places in Ma. Good times. I found a coyote den in an old factory in eastern mass, piles of bones everywhere. Scared the hell out of everyone. No human stuff, lots of cats, dogs and deer bones, shit in huge piles. Those fuckers kill a lot of stuff. No pics I'm afraid, I used a Polaroid at the time.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a coded acronym, literally: Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, and Robber.
Think a modern, gritty Indiana Jones in a radioactive, actively hostile wasteland that is bit Innawoods and Borderlands at the same time (sort of).
As for this thread, it pertains mostly to Urban/Rural Exploration, mainly of abandoned structures, as this is a prominent activity in the actual S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game.
Quite fun, really. You might consider trying it sometime. :)

For Shadow of Chernobyl, it grants +5 Bulletproofing at the cost of +5 Radiation.
In Clear Sky, it raises carrying capacity by 10 kg at the cost of +1 Radiation.
In Call of Pripyat, it grants a +4 kg to carrying capacity at the cost of +1 Radiation.
Also, between ShoC and Clear Sky it had a model change, and became a glowing, many-quilled sphere.

This wonderful artifact is formed by the Springboard anomaly. The use of the artifact demands the neutralization of deadly radiation. Expensive and rare, this artifact is extremely interesting for scientific expeditions and other research activity in the Zone.
Acquisition
This is a rare artifact. It is possible to find at least one of these artifacts on the edges of Agroprom, however these areas have very high radiation levels. Baldy will reward the player with this artifact after completing his mission Kill the traitor. Several Night Stars can be found near the Monolith "sculpture" in Pripyat, and more can be found at the Chernobyl NPP.
Pricing
The Night Star can be sold for a disappointing 3250 Ru (Sakharov gives 5000 Ru).

Hope this helps. Pic related, ShoC inventory icon for the Night Star artifact.

My wander got my feet todaylooking for artifacts again. I had more luck, as you will see. I wanted to go up the river, but I had to go through a highly radioactive forest whose name was long ago lost. You can see the mutant effects of the radiation in the trees that survived the Event

There on my way, deep inside the forest, I found a clean and safe place where I could quit my radiation suit and had some sausages. Stalker were recently there because I found no leaf artifacts and they are often seen in places like this

When I finally arrived to the waters, the level of radiation were skyrocketing so I had little time to search and scavenge. I didnt need much though, several spark artifacts were laying in the bottom of the river like they were expecting me...

sorry bros,

I was able to take a photo of the artifacts in their natural state. You must excuse the quality of the photos, radioactivity affected my instruments all day long and many went crazy, like my pda and the camera lense... I too feel a bit dizzy and I forgot to attach the photo...

Going out of the place, some vortex anomalies obliged me to make a detour through an area I had never visited before.. I found another lab, and a little scorcher. I can feel in my ghost the activities going inside must be related with the increasing anomalies/radioactivity in the area lately...

I will investigate, but today I was low on ammo and weapons as I expected to find many artifacts and filled my backup with just the elementary things for survival (medkits and radiation pills mostly). When I arrived to the camp, Jakucha and me used some of the spark artifacts I found to dress the vodka in a manner he learnt from another stalker

We will keep on exploring next day

I just downloaded the trilogy. Unfortunately i could not get the first one working with wine and am wondering if skipping the first one would be ok story-wise or if i should go back and try to get it working.

That is so cool bro, did the radiation let you go inside?
>>
>>388008
I still get nightmarers from that radiation

I really think SoC should be played first else it would feel less unfilling (imo), CS doesnt add much but it is still good. CoP is as good as SoC: My suggestion would be release order SoC<CS<CoP. But it doesnt really matter, I hope you enjoy the Zone!

Nightmarers can be though brother, I know they wont get you ack from keeping exploring. I once found an old photo of an atomic explosions in one of the labs (C23 I think), have it
