Anyone has any experience or knowledge on mithriadatism? Preferably for snake and other animal poisons that might bite you while experiencing the wilderness.

How to do it properly, how long does the tolerance last, etc. General mithriadatism talk.

bumping for interest. Poskoks can be a real pain in the ass

Don't do it OP

Good luck building up a resistance to hematotoxins like most snake venoms.
>>
snake venom when drank is harmless. thankfully we have this wonderful organ called liver
>>

You saying its a no no? Mithrias did it 200 BC why cant we
>>

Snakes and other bitey animals are VENOMOUS, not POISONOUS. There is a difference.

There is nothing you can do to keep a cytotoxic/hematotoxic VENOM from destroying tissue when injected hypodermically. It is physically impossible to build up a resistance or immunity to it as it is a chemical reaction.
And at the same time, the majority of VENOMS are safe to consume orally provided you don't have big gaping wounds in your mouth.

To bad. So it only works for actual poisons? Non-organic?
>>
>implying poisons arent organic
Dude i dont think youre getting it. Snakes are venemous not poisonous.

>If you bite it, its poisonous
>If it bites you, its venemous

Do it OP

>>
>>1096039
Npr had a story about a guy who could get bit by snakes. Some religious thing, and he was a priest that just got used to it over time
>>
>>1096039
Such a practice has very few, if any, uses. You could very well harm or even kill yourself in the process and it wouldn't protect against any venomous animals in the first place because they are injected into your bloodstream, rather than ingested.
>>
>>1097264
Pretty sure you would inject small doses of venom if you were to pracise this ..
>>
>>1096039
Real talk what snake's venom will get you high?
>>
>>1099682
Try the Alabama Black Trouser Snake. Seems like your speed.

Be warned, it spits.
>>
>>1096559
There are no poisonous snakes in North America, I would know, I've eaten several.

They also aren't poisonous unless they're injected directly into your body so it's kind of pointless. Ingesting them would do nothing.
